About HP Scholarship 2024
The HP Scholarship portal is an online application specifically for Himachal Pradesh students. The HP Scholarship intends to provide financial assistance to students from Himachal Pradesh. Five universities, two medical colleges, four dentistry colleges, and two engineering colleges are among the states and many educational institutions. In addition, the state has developed many HP scholarship initiatives to ensure that kids have a bright future. Objective of HP Scholarships
The HP Scholarship intends to provide financial assistance to students from Himachal Pradesh. These programmes are designed exclusively for kids who are economically disadvantaged and require financial aid to achieve a literate future. Scholarships may be provided by the government, the state, or technical education schemes. HP would provide the scholars with a scholarship of up to INR 75,000 each year. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for any of these scholarships, students must meet specific requirements. The qualifying criteria for these various scholarships vary based on the financial and social position of students, with the exception that the student must be a genuine student studying within or outside of India with a valid AADHAR (UID/EID) certificate. Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chattervriti Yojana for Post plus two Students
- The candidate must be a male topper from the HP Board of School Education’s merit lists for 10+2 Arts, Science, and Commerce, OR a topper (both male and female) from the HPU, Shimla merit lists for B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com.

Lahaul Spiti Pattern
- The candidate must be a member of a tribal community residing in a Himachal Pradesh tribal region.
Girls Attendance Scholarship

- The candidate must be a student in grades 1 through 10 in a government or recognised school.

- Students should be enrolled in government/government-aided/recognized/private institutions.

- Post-matriculation students are eligible to apply for the award.

Upgradation of Merit of SC/ST Students (CSS) (Only for GSSS Bharmour, Chamba)
- The students must attend school in Bharmour, Chamba.
- On the basis of the merit list of middle standard examinations, the student should be admitted to GSSS Bharmour, Chamba in class 9th.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship Scheme for Students belonging to Minority Community (CSS)
- The student must be a member of a minority group (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, etc.).
- A degree or post-graduate level technical professional training from a recognised institution is required.

- The student must come from a financially disadvantaged household with an annual income of less than INR 1.5 lakh.

- Trust Fund– The student must be disabled and pursuing a degree or post-graduate professional and technical courses at a recognized institution.
- National Fund– The student must be disabled and enrolled in a post-matric professional or technical course lasting more than one year.
- Post Matric or Pre-Matric– The student must be disabled and have completed either a post-matric or pre-matric schooling.

- They must be enrolled in a postgraduate programme or a degree programme in engineering, technology, or architecture, or any other similar programme authorized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
- The student’s annual household income should not exceed INR 3.6 lakh per year.
Scholarships for Diploma Courses
- The student must come from a financially disadvantaged family and be a genuine Himachal Pradesh resident or a ward of HP government personnel.
- The student must have received at least 60% on the last qualifying examination.
- They must be enrolled in Diploma-level Engineering/Technology programs, including Architecture, or any other similar course recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
- The student’s annual household income should not exceed INR 36,000 per year.
Scholarships for ITI Students
- ITI students are eligible for the grant.

To be eligible for the HP scholarship, you must be a genuine Himachal Pradesh resident, and other information varies based on the scholarship plan selected by the student. The following is a general list of documents that a student must submit in support of his or her application. As the chosen scheme is changed, the criteria may vary as well.

Application Procedure for HP Scholarship
In order to encourage education in the state, each HP scholarship accepts applications from students of various backgrounds. The newly installed HP ePass scholarship site makes applying for these awards simple and quick for students. However, the National Scholarship Portal is currently accepting applications for the majority of federal and state-sponsored awards (NSP). The following is a step-by-step guide on how to apply for an HP scholarship via the HP ePass Scholarship Portal and the National Scholarship Portal.
HP Scholarship Application through HP ePass Portal
- The applicant first visits the Himachal Pradesh website of Himachal Pradesh epass Scholarship portal.
- The homepage will appear on your screen where you have to click on schemes offered to view the list of scholarship schemes.
- Now click on a Student’s login in order to register yourself.
- On the student’s login page you have to enter your user id and password which will be provided through the specified phone number and email ID of the student.
Note– Keep the User ID and Password secure; they will be needed to follow the scholarship application’s progress.
- If you are a new student, click “New Student Registration” to be sent to the next page.
- If you do not have an Aadhar card, choose ‘No’ and produce Electronic Identification as evidence of identity before completing the registration.
- After you’ve finished the registration process by giving accurate and vital information, attach all of the papers required for the HP Scholarship application. Make sure that all of your papers are genuine and legitimate; they will be checked before the registration is finalized, and any or all invalid data will be rejected right away.

- The applicant first visits the HP Government Scholarship website of the National Scholarship Portal for HP Scholarship.
- The homepage will appear on your screen where you have to check the name of your institution on the list and if your institution is not registered, request them to register on the portal first.
- If your institution is registered, then you have to click on the New Registration button and read all the guidelines.
- Now, the registration page will open where you have to enter all your required details and register. You will receive an application ID and password on your registered mobile number.
- Create an account with the application ID and password, then update the password as needed.
- To begin the application, go to the dashboard and click on ‘Application Form.’
- Fill out the application form completely and upload all essential papers (as required).
- Finally, you must submit your application.
