The Kerala state government has launched the KSCSTE Prathibha Scholarship 2025. To allow the financially unstable students of Kerala state who are meritorious in studies to pursue higher education, including undergraduate and postgraduate, the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology, and Environment (KSCSTE) has introduced the KSCSTE Prathibha Scholarship 2025. Through this is scheme, all the meritorious students who want to pursue their higher education in the fields of science are eligible to receive the financial assistance. Through this initiative, the authorities aim to provide financial aid, mentorship, and research assistance to the students who want to pursue a career in science.
About KSCSTE
The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) is an autonomous body working under the Ministry of Science and Technology of Kerala state. The body was established by the Kerala state government in 2022 to bring out major changes and development in the fields of Science and Technology. The council significantly enhances the interest of Science and Technology among the students by providing various scholarships and other assistance. The council is making necessary efforts consistently to empower the meritorious students to pursue their careers in the fields of Science and Technology.

Objective of Prathibha Scholarship
The main objective of launching the Prathibha Scholarship is to allow meritorious students to pursue their careers in Science and Technology without any financial restrictions. The financial assistance of INR 12,000 to 60,000 will be given to the students based on the degree and course their pursuing. Using this financial assistance, the students can easily pay the fees and other expenses for their studies and build their careers without financial problems. The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries through the DBT process.

Eligibility Criteria
- The students must be permanent residents of Kerala state.
- The students must have completed their Higher Secondary examination with a minimum score of 90% in all subjects and 90% in Science subjects
- The students must have secured admission for a 3-year B.Sc. / 5-year Integrated M.Sc. / 5-year Integrated BS-MS in Basic or Natural Science in any recognized university in India.
- Only the students who are currently at the UG level are eligible for fresh applications.

Selection Process
- Students will be selected on the basis of the marks they scored in all four science subjects in the Higher Secondary Board Examination.
- Eligible applicants are grouped under the three Broad Subject Groups, viz., Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Life Sciences, based on the subject chosen as ‘Main’ for the Degree Course.
- Students in Triple-main UG/Integrated PG courses must choose one subject category—Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, or Life Sciences—for ranking. Once submitted, this choice cannot be changed.
- Scholarships are distributed as follows: 30% for Mathematical Sciences, 40% for Physical Sciences, and 30% for Life Sciences. Additionally, 10% of total seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates.
- In the event of a tie in Science total marks, the following subject-wise priority order is applied:
- For Mathematical Sciences: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Overall Marks.
- For Physical Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Overall Marks.
- For Life Sciences: Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Overall Marks.
