FOSSEE Summer Fellowship 2025: How to Apply Online and Check Eligibility

The FOSSEE Better Education has started the FOSSEE Summer Fellowship for the students who are impressed with learning of free libre and open source software. Under this fellowship, the student will be able to work with the FOSSEE team for around 1.5 to 2 months. The student needs to select a project and choose a screening task from the table given below. All the applicants who have cleared the eligibility criteria and can easily apply under this fellowship before the last date. The last date to apply for this fellowship is 7th April 2025. About FOSSEE

Free/Libre and open source software for education (FOSSEE) is a project that is a part of the national mission of education through information and communication technology Ministry of Education Government of India. It helps in promoting the use of tools to improve the quality of education. This organization creates students to increase the use of flush fuels in the various activities for the ensurement of commercial software replacement by equivalent FLOSS tools. The organization reduces the dependency on proprietary software used in educational institutions. This organization always tries to upgrade existing tools so that it would meet the requirements in academia and research.

Motive of FOSSEE Summer Fellowship

The primary motive of the FOSSEE Summer Fellowship is to promote the use of Floss tools in the education field. It will help in welcoming students from backgrounds such as engineering, science, arts, and commerce. The selected candidates need to complete the spinning task for the topic they have selected. The topic can range from software development to data analysis and educational content creation. The participant needs to submit the proposal for the task depending on the specific project requirements. Along with that, this fellowship will provide a stipend to the fellows.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of India.
• An applicant must be pursuing any degree in graduation or post-graduation degree.
• The candidate must know how to use FLOSS tools.
• The candidate must have finished this one screening work in the field of programming scientific computing and gathering data.
