About Swami Vivekananda Scholarship
The government of West Bengal has launched the Swami Vivekananda scholarship scheme. Through this scheme, scholarships are provided to meritorious students so that they can continue their education without worrying about educational expenses. Under this scheme, the government is going to provide monthly scholarships which will range from Rs 1500 to 5000. All those students who are interested in applying under the scheme can visit the official website and submit their application. Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria for this scholarship:-
- The applicant must be a resident of West Bengal.
- He/ She must be pursuing studies at the Post-Madhyamik level and onwards at an educational institute in West Bengal after passing out from a state board, the council of secondary/higher secondary, Madrasah education, or a state university.
- Institutions must also be located in West Bengal.
- The family income of your family should not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh.

Documents Required
The following documents are required to submit for this scholarship:-
- The front and backside of your mark sheet for the last examination passed
- Admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination
- Income certificate (in the format specified)
- Income affidavit (in the specified format)
- The first page of your bank passbook clearly mentions your account number and IFSC details
- Aadhaar card/Ration card/Voter ID card
- Recent photograph with a size not more than 10 -50 KB
- Institute verification form (in the prescribed format) duly authenticated by the HOI (Head of Institution)
- The students can obtain the institute verification form online from the portal after the submission of the online application. Get it authenticated by the HOI and finally upload it to the portal.

Selection Process
The applicant will have to go through the following selection procedure for this scholarship:-
- SVMCM scholarship will be provided on the basis of the marks obtained by the applicants.
- The scholarship will be provided on the basis of income criteria.
- Once the merit list is prepared, the scholarship is disbursed to students in their respective accounts, subject to the availability of all documents.

Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (SVMCM) 2024 FAQs
The government of West Bengal has learned Swami Vivekananda scholarship. Through this scheme, financial assistance of up to R 5000 will be provided to the beneficiary
To get the benefit of the school applicant must have secured at least 75% marks in the aggregate examination up to undergraduate courses. For postgraduate courses, the applicant must have secured at least 55% marks.
No there is no income criteria in order to avail benefit of this scheme. These scholarships will be provided on the basis of merit
No applications cannot be made offline under this scheme. Only online applications will be accepted.
