Objective of Fellowship

The purpose of this Fellowship is to develop leadership skills and professional networks. All nationals worldwide are eligible to apply for the fellowship. The fellows will spend 10 months at London’s Chatham House, October 2025 is when the program will start, and it will end in July 2026. The fellowship covers all expenses, and there is no application fee. Over the course of the ten months, participants will do an in-depth study on a topic of their choosing. A wide range of backgrounds, including academia, government, research, civil society, and journalism, are welcome among the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The fellowship is open to applicants of all nationalities. 
  • In addition to having a completed bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, candidates must have research experience. 
  • Working in academia, a non-profit organization, business, government agencies, civil society, or the media, the ideal applicant should be in their early to mid-career stage. 
  • Every applicant should have an interest in and understanding of international politics, their subject of study, and Chatham House’s objectives and research. 
  • Since fellows are expected to work full-time toward their fellowship, it is not possible to seek a fellowship while working or attending school. 

Financial Benefits 

  • The fellow receives a monthly stipend of £2,365, which covers living expenses in London, including accommodation, utilities, food, transportation, and other necessities.

Selection Process

The following describes the program’s selection procedure: – 

  • Step 1; is to complete the application found below. All applications are reviewed and shortlisted by our selection committee after the deadline. 
  • Step 2: Zoom schedules interviews with the shortlisted applicants. The interviews are conducted by a senior management member of Chatham House and representatives from the appropriate programs. After this round, fellows are selected and notified by email.
