What Is Bikash Bhavan Scholarship 2023?

The government of West Bengal has created a new scheme known as the Bikash Bhavan Scholarship to provide financial assistance to the meritorious and deserving students who belong to the economically weaker section category. Under the Bikash Bhavan Scholarship, students will be able to pursue their higher education from class 11 to the doctoral level. The main aim of launching this scheme is to reduce the dropout rate from the state of West Bengal and to provide the brightest future among the students of the state. Objective Of Bikash Bhavan Scholarship

There are many students who due to their weak financial condition are not able to pursue their higher education. And this situation leads to the dropout rates of the students due to a lack of financial funds. By keeping this in mind the government of West Bengal has created a new scheme known as Bikash Bhavan Scholarship. Under the scheme, financial assistance will be provided to economically weaker students who want to pursue education at the class eleventh class twelfth undergraduate or postgraduate, and doctoral level. The main objective of this scheme is to reduce the dropout rate of children due to the lack of financial funds.

Selection Criteria Of Scholarship

The following selection criteria are needed to apply under Bikash Bhavan Scholarship

The number of applications which is submitted by the student will first be sorted in descending order of marks
The merit list will be made on the basis of the availability of the required documents submitted by the candidate
After that, the scholarship amount will be disbursed by the concerned authority
If the students are suspected of false information then this scholarship amount that will be provided should be refunded immediately
Those who have accused false information are forbidden to apply for any government scholarship in future
Legal actions will be taken against the candidate as per the law

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to avail of the benefit under the Bikash Bhavan Scholarship Is divided into two categories

General Eligibility Criteria

An applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal
He or she must be studying at post madhyamik level or above class 11-12 undergraduate or postgraduate doctor level AT institution in West Bengal
An applicant must have passed out from a state board the council of Secondary And Higher Education
The annual family income should not exceed more than Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum

Specific Eligibility Criteria

Higher Secondary Level	An applicant must have cleared the madhyamik pariksha with at least 70% of the marks An applicant who belongs to a state other than West Bengal are not eligible to apply
Diploma/ Polytechnic Level	An applicant must have cleared the madhyamik pariksha with at least 75% of the marks The candidate must have cleared the higher secondary examination or second-year diploma course in modern office practice with 75% marks
Undergraduate Level	The applicant must have cleared the higher secondary examination madarsa Shiksha Pariksha with 75% marks
Postgraduate level	An applicant must have studied the honors at graduation level with 55% off marks in the last qualifying examination The candidate must have studied honors in engineering subject with at least 55% marks in the last qualifying examination
Kanyashree applicant	An applicant must possess a valid sanction K2 ID An applicant must be pursuing post-graduation courses in Arts Science or Commerce The applicants should have passed the graduation level with 45% of marks
MPhil/ Non-Net/ NET LS research fellow applicants	An applicant must be pursuing a Ph.D. degree or MPhil degree from a state-funded institution.
