Ashoka University declared that all Fellows will receive full or partial scholarships for the Young India Fellowship 2024. It is a top postgraduate program, which will begin in the 2025–2026 class. Scholarships will range from a 25% tuition reduction to a 100% tuition, housing, and meal waiver, plus a stipend for financial aid. The Class of 2026 will be the next to receive the Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship. Sixty percent of the current Young India Fellowship 2024 are on full or partial scholarships, and eighty-one percent are on partial or full scholarships. Objective of Young India Fellowship
The primary objective of the Young India Fellowship is to provide financial assistance to the students who are deserving. Ashoka University has launched this fellowship program for students who are good in academics and want to go for higher studies. Students will be allowed to enroll in post-graduate diploma programs in leadership and liberal studies under this program. The option to switch from the diploma program to a master’s degree program centered on research may be available to students. The courses that the partner universities provide can be taken by the fellows participating in this program. In addition to other perks, students will receive financial assistance via this program.

Selection Process
- There will be about 100 Fellows in the Class of 2026. The YIF is open to candidates of all ages and nationalities, from a wide range of academic, professional, geographic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, who have earned a recognized undergraduate degree in any field by July 2025 or earlier (they may be in their final year of study at that time).
- After the submissions are evaluated holistically, certain applicants will be selected for in-person interviews.
- A few of these chosen applicants might also receive an interview invitation for the Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship.
