About West Bengal Pre Matric Scholarship

The applicant must fill out the application form for the different types of scholarships available by the West Bengal government by going to the official Aikyashree portal created by the West Bengal government to provide all of the information related to the different types of scholarship schemes presented by the different departments of the West Bengal government. There are a lot of different types of West Bengal Pre Matric Scholarships that are created by the concerned authorities and you can fill out the application form according to the different types of benefits that you want to get if you have not completed your class 12th education. You have to fill out the application form before 30th September 2024 in order to be eligible for all of the benefits.

Benefits Of West Bengal Pre Matric Scholarship

The following benefits will be provided to all of the people who are applying for this scholarship:-

• Class 1 to 5 Students –
  • Maintenance Allowance – INR 1,100 (for day scholars)
• Class 6 to 10 Students (For Day Scholars) –
  • Admission fee & tuition fee – INR 4,400
  • Maintenance Allowance – INR 1,100
• Class 6 to 10 students (For Hostellers)
  • Admission fee & tuition fee – INR 4,400
  • Maintenance Allowance – INR 6,600

Scholarship Renewal 

The scholarship will renew by the concerned authorities by following the following details given below:-

• In an academic year, a scholarship will be owed for 10 months only.
• The scholarship will be renewed in class in the next class after applicants will complete the previous standard with 50%. In case a student fails any class, then govt will not be provided a scholarship again.
• The reward will be given at the beginning of the 9th standard to completion of the exam. If applicants take admitted to the next class then from the admission month, the scholarship will be again payable. In case of renewal, it will be paid from the month in which the scholarship was compensated in the previous year.

Terms and Conditions

The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions to be eligible for the West Bengal pre-matric scholarship:-

• The scholarship amount will credit to the student’s bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
• The students applying for this scholarship should fulfill the attendance criteria of the institute in which they are enrolled.
• The students can avail of scholarships from any one source only.
• The students pursuing courses through distance mode are not eligible. 
• A maximum of two applications can make through one mobile number.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

• The applicant who is applying for this plan must belong to a scheduled caste.
• The family income of the candidate should be less than 2 lahks per annum.
• The Aspirant is not availing of any other scholarship from govt.
• Interested candidates must be full-time or regular students of any recognized government school/ State Board of Secondary Education/ CBSE.
• A scholarship is valid for only 1 year. In case the applicant repeats its class, then no scholarship will be provided from the side of govt.

• You have to now click on the option called student’s corner present on the homepage and a new page will open on your screen.

• Click on the Fresh Registration option

• Now you have to select your district
• The application form will appear on your screen.
• Enter your basic information.
• Verify all of the details.
• Click on the submit button.
• Now fill in the eligibility details.
• Click on the button called Submit And Proceed
• User ID will be generated.
• You have to keep the user ID and password safe.
• Now you have to log in using your information.
