The directorate of government examination has started the registration for Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship (NMMS) 2025. Under this scholarship, financial help will be provided to the students every year from class 9 to 12 who are studying in government-aided schools in Tamilnadu. About Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship

Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship is launched by the government of Tamil Nadu to provide scholarship opportunities to the students. Under this scholarship, the financial help of INR 12,000 will be provided to the students who have completed their class 8 examination. With the help of this scholarship, students belonging to scheduled caste tribes and other backward classes will be able to continue their higher education without worrying about any financial Hurdle. Objective of Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship

The main objective of the Tamil Nadu National Merit Cum Means Scholarship is to provide scholarship opportunities to students belonging to scheduled caste-schedule tribes and other backward classes. With the help of this scholarship, students belonging to lower castes will be able to study higher education without worrying about any financial hurdles. Under this scholarship, INR 12,000 will be provided to the student to pursue higher education. All the students who have completed class 8 can easily apply for this scholarship before the last date. The examination date for this scholarship is 22nd February 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• An applicant must be a permanent resident of Tamilnadu 
• An applicant must be studying in class 8th.
• Candidates must have been admission to government-aided Tamilnadu Government or local body schools.
• The annual family income should not exceed more than INR 3.5 lakhs per annum.

Financial Assistance
