What Is Sikkim Scholarship 2025?

The Government of Sikkim state has started various scholarship schemes to help the economically backward society and the children who are not able to continue their education due to various financial reasons. There are a lot of different types of scholarships available for students who are currently pursuing education at different levels and the candidates can apply for the scholarship by filling out the application forms available at the various Government platforms.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for this scholarship:-

Sikkim General Post Matric Scholarship	For All	The annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 1.2 Lakh. The applicant should have scored at least 80% marks in the last qualifying examination.
Post Matric Merit Scholarship, Sikkim	For All	The applicant should have a Certificate of Identification of Sikkim. The applicant should have scored at least 80% marks in the last qualifying examination.
Post Matric Scholarship for EBC Students, Sikkim	Economically Backward Classes	The student should be pursuing studies at the post-matriculation level. The annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 1 Lakh.
Post Matric Scholarship for OBC (Central) Students, Sikkim	Other Backward Classes	The student studying at the post-matriculation level (class 11 onwards) can apply. The annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 1 Lakh.
Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Sikkim	Scheduled Caste	The student should be studying at the post-matriculation level (class 11 onwards). The annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 2.5 Lakh.
Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students, Sikkim	Scheduled Tribe	The student should be studying at the post-matriculation level (class 11 onwards). The annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 2.5 Lakh.
Pre-Matric Scholarship to ST Students, Sikkim	Scheduled Tribe	The student should be studying in classes 1 to 10. The annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 2.5 Lakh
CCB Scholarship Scheme, Sikkim	For All	The student should have secured a minimum of 40% to 50% marks in the last qualifying examination. The applicant should be a student at College/ University level (pursuing diploma, degree, or postgraduate level courses).
Founder’s Scholarship (SRM University – Sikkim)	For All	The student should be the school topper or the second topper.
Sikkim Nationals Scholarship (SRM University- Sikkim)	For All	Students nominated by HRDD, Sikkim can apply. Students bearing Certificate of Identification and admitted directly to the University.

Sikkim Scholarship Award Details 

The following awards will be available to the candidates in this scholarship:-

Sikkim General Post Matric Scholarship	The applicant will receive an annual reimbursement of a maximum of Rs.10,000/- is awarded for courses such as MBBS/BDS/BTech/B. Arch and some notified honors courses at the graduation level.
Post Matric Merit Scholarship, Sikkim	The scholarship holder will be awarded an amount ranging from INR 800 to INR 2000 per month

CCB Scholarship Scheme, Sikkim	The shortlisted students will get the benefit of up to 70% scholarship (INR 1-3 Lakhs, depending upon the course and its duration student will also receive the state welfare scholarship (Approx. INR 30,000 to 50,000/- per year) from the state welfare department, if eligible. The Hostel fee is also discounted (INR 3000 to 4000) for CCB students.
Founder’s Scholarship (SRM University – Sikkim)	100% tuition fee waiver for the school topper50% tuition fee waiver for the second school topper
Sikkim Nationals Scholarship (SRM University- Sikkim)	The students nominated by HRDD, the government of Sikkim are eligible for a 25% of waiver of tuition fees. Students bearing certificates of identification and admitted directly to the university are eligible for a 10% of waiver of tuition fees.

The following documents must be submitted by the candidates in this scholarship:-

• COI/SS Certificate.
• 10th Standard Mark sheet.
• 12th Standard Mark sheet.
• Mark sheet of Latest Qualification completed by the Candidates.
• Pass mark sheet of the previous academic year,
• BPL Card/Income Certificate (annual income of parents from all sources not exceeding Rs.1 lakhs),
• Copy of Bank Pass Book showing account number and IFSC Code
• Aadhar Card
• Fee paid details.
• Caste Certificate.

• First, you will have to visit the official state scholarship portal for the Sikkim State by clicking on the link given here  
• The homepage of the website will be displayed on your screen 

• You have to click on the Register Now button 
• A new webpage will be displayed on your screen 

• The guidelines for registering for this scholarship will be displayed on your screen 
• Now you have to register yourself successfully by filling up the registration form
• Upload all of the documents and successfully submit the application form.
• You have to take a printout of the duly filled application form.
