About Oxford and Cambridge Society of India
The Oxford and Cambridge Society of India (OCSI) is an association of more than 750 Indian-based alumni from both institutions who work in a variety of fields, such as law, banking, consulting, history, architecture, the arts, and literature. One of the Society’s initiatives is to encourage fellowships, scholarships, and social connections among its members. OCSI provides several scholarships to students annually so they can attend either institution or study any topic. Every year, the Society receives over 75 applications, and it goes through a stringent screening and interview procedure. Scholarships for studies in computer science, chemistry, public policy, and environmental governance were given to seven students in 2021.

Eligibility Criteria
In order be eligible, a candidate has to:
- Be an Indian citizen who typically resides in India
- Be under 30 by September 1st of the application year and
- Have completed a second undergraduate or graduate program at an Indian university with accreditation (applicants graduating in the year of the award are also eligible).
- Be from an Indian university for a course at the undergraduate level desire to pursue a course of study.
- Plan to enroll in a full-time program at the University of Cambridge or the University of Oxford after applying and being accepted.
- They want to study anything that fits into one of the following categories:
- Research that culminates in a doctoral degree Postgraduate courses lasting one year, including M.Phil., LLM, Diploma, CASM or Part III Math, MBA, PGCE, and so on.
- Master’s degrees that are taught and research-based and range in length from M.Sc. to Engineering and medical degrees
- Second bachelor’s degree as a senior or associated student A bachelor’s degree program

Courses Offered
Most scholarships are accessible for any subject, course, or field of study offered by the two institutions (some may be restricted to certain courses or fields of study). The following are among the study levels:

- One-year postgraduate programs (e.g., MBA, PGCE, CASM or Part III Math, MPhil, LLM, BCL, Diploma, etc.)
- Research-based and taught master’s degrees of different lengths (such as M.Sc. in engineering, medicine, etc.)

Selection Process
The three main criteria listed below will be used to evaluate candidates:
- Presentation abilities, confidence, demeanor, and clarity of ideas and presentation are examples of soft talents.
- Uniqueness in the subject of study, influence on society at large, probable influence on India, regular academic achievement, and extracurricular activities are examples of hard talents.
- Financial resources: Candidates may be asked to provide supporting documentation along with information about their financial resources. This need will be communicated to the shortlisted applicants.

- Mentoring: upon request, an OCSI member can act as a mentor, providing the awardee with the necessary direction to help the OCSI scholar throughout their time at Oxford or Cambridge. To choose a mentor who has similar interests to the OCSI fellowship, the Oxford and Cambridge Society of India will try.
