National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMSS) Examination 2023-24 Is conducted by the organization to provide 1000 Rupees every month to the beneficiary who scores very good marks in the scholarship examination. Objective of NMMS Himachal Pradesh

The main objective of NMMS Himachal Pradesh is to help the students to complete their education. Many different students are not able to complete their school education due to financial constraints. Eligibility Criteria

• Any student, studying in class VIII in a Govt. /Local Body /95% Govt-aided-private school for the session 2023-24, whose parental annual income from all sources is not more than Rs. Three Lakh Fifty Thousand only (3,50,000/-) is eligible to appear in this exam. Candidates have to attach relevant income certificates from the competent authority in standard formats.
• He/she must have scored at least 55% marks in class VII. There is, however, a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST students. Candidates applying under reserved categories have to attach relevant certificates from the competent authority in standard formats.
• The candidates applying under the PCG category will have to attach relevant certificates from the competent authority in standard formats.
• He/She will be awarded the scholarship for the next four years i.e. Class IX to XII, only if he/she continues to study in a Govt. /Local Body /95% Govt-aided-private school.
• The awardees should get a minimum of 60% marks in class X for continuation of scholarship (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in the next higher classes. For continuing the scholarship in classes X and XII, the awardees should get a clear promotion from class IX to class X and from class XI to class XII on the first attempt

Selection Process of NMMS Himachal Pradesh

• The examination will comprise two tests:
  • Mental Ability Test (MAT) 
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) 
• There will be no negative marking.
• Qualifying Criterion: At the time of selection for the award of scholarship the student must pass both the tests i.e. MAT and SAT with at least 40% marks in aggregate taken together for these two tests for the general category. For the reserved categories this cut-off will be 32% marks.
