What is National Means Cum Merit Scholarship?
The NMMS Scholarship 2025 is being offered by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in India. Another name for it is the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS). Scholarships from National Means cum Merit Scholarship are given to deserving students in grades 9 through 12 who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. For students to be eligible for the Scholarship, they must pass the eighth class with the required minimum score. The purpose of the scholarships is to encourage eighth-grade students to continue their studies through secondary school and to lower the dropout rate among them. A scholarship amount will be given to qualified applicants for the 2025 school year.

Eligibility Criteria
- Students from any community who are enrolled in public, government-aided, or government schools and who meet the requirements of the scheme are eligible to apply for the award.
- Learners whose total family income does not exceed Rs. 3,50,000/-per year are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- In order to be considered for a scholarship, pupils must have received at least 55% of the possible points in their Class VII exam, or an equivalent grade (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST students).
