The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading Foundation ISTAT Aviation Scholarship was founded in 1994 to support individuals and institutions that promote the advancement of commercial aviation and humanitarianism. Funding for programs is provided by annual grants from ISTAT and contributions from individuals and companies. The ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees, a separate entity from the ISTAT Board of Directors, manages fundraising and programming that meets the Foundation’s objectives. About ISTAT Aviation Scholarship 2023
The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation is actively engaged in helping young people develop careers in aviation by offering scholarships of up to $US10,000. The program is administered by the Scholarship Committee of the ISTAT Foundation Board of Trustees in conjunction with accredited universities that recommend qualified students. Qualified institutions are invited to submit one candidate (unless requested otherwise) for consideration on an annual basis.

Objective of ISTAT Aviation Scholarship
- The main motive of the ISTAT Aviation Scholarship 2022 is to help young people to develop careers in aviation by offering scholarships to college-level students who are academically qualified and in need of financial support.
- The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading Foundation (ISTAT Foundation) will also help individuals and organizations who support commercial aviation and humanitarianism.
Benefits of ISTAT Aviation Scholarship
Under the ISTAT Aviation Scholarship, the eligible candidates will receive up to $US10,000 which is approximately Rs- 766,415.
Applicants will use this scholarship amount for Tuition & Fees.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate (bachelors) studies or be enrolled in a graduate (masters) or postgraduate (doctoral) studies;
- Students must hold an academic ranking within the top 25% (75 – 100%) (United States Grade Point Average requirement: 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale);
- Need financial support for university tuition-only fees; Enrolled in one of the following programs: aviation finance, aviation law, aeronautical engineering, aviation management, aeronautical science, aviation computer science, aviation maintenance, airport management, air traffic control, or related field.
- Flight students with an interest in aviation finance, law, engineering, etc. are welcome to apply Commitment to a career in aviation; Involvement in extracurricular/community activities indicates leadership qualities
- Students interested in applying for a scholarship are require to secure a nomination from the head of the aviation program at a qualified university. Once a university receives the nomination, the student will be provided a link to access the online application.

- Personal Statement – Essay Requirements: (1) reason(s) for applying, (2) career goals in the aviation industry, (3) activities demonstrating leadership abilities, (4) a description of financial need, and (5) your interest in joining the ISTAT community. Minimum of 500 words.
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from employers or faculty members
- Copy of official academic transcripts from university
- Financial Aid section – completed by the student with authorization from a Financial Aid Officer at your institution.

Application Procedure for ISTAT Aviation Scholarship 2023
Students who have an interest in applying for a scholarship requires to secure a nomination from the head of the aviation program at a qualified university. Upon confirmation of the university’s candidates, the university gives the scholarship application link to share with their candidates.
