The State examination board of Gujarat has created Gujarat NMMS to provide merit cum means scholarship to the students of Gujarat. Under this scholarship, financial assistance will be provided to students belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, and other backward classes to continue their higher education. With the help of this scholarship, students in the economic vehicle section will be able to achieve their dreams and build their careers by obtaining higher education. About Gujarat NMMS

The State Examination Board of Gujarat created Gujarat NMMS to provide scholarship opportunities to the students of private schools in Gujarat. The eligible student who will qualify for this exam will be rewarded with a scholarship of INR 12,000 per annum. This amount of scholarship will directly be transferred into the bank account of the student by the Ministry of Education. All the students who are pursuing education in government primary schools, local body schools, and granted primary schools in the current academic year and are studying class 8 are eligible to apply for this examination. This scholarship will be provided to students belonging to a scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, and other backward classes.

Objective of Gujarat NMMS

The main objective of Gujarat NMMS is to provide scholarship opportunities to students belonging to scheduled caste tribes and other backward classes. With the help of this scholarship, students belonging to lower castes will be able to study higher education without worrying about any financial hurdles. Under this scholarship, INR 12,000 will be provided to the student to pursue higher education. All the students who have completed class 8 can easily apply for this scholarship before the last date. The application will start from 1st January 2025. The last date to apply for the examination is 11th January 2025. Students can submit their application fees until 13th January 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must be studying in class 8th.
• An applicant was to be studying at government primary schools, local body schools, and granted primary schools in the current academy year. 
• An applicant must belong to a scheduled caste scheduled tribe and other backward classes. 
• The candidate must have achieved at least 50% marks in their class 7th examination. 

Financial Assistance

• The selected candidates will be rewarded with INR 12,000 per annum in monthly installments.
