About Bihar NMMS
Bihar NMMS is the national merit cums means scholarship for the meritorious students of the Bihar state. With the help of this scholarship, students who belong to economically weaker sections can pursue their education from class 9 to 12th without worrying about any financial hurdles. This scholarship is created by the State Council of Education Research and Training. The students who are currently studying in class 8 from government body and non-government aided schools in Bihar can easily apply under this scholarship. Under this scheme, the financial assistance will be provided to the students so that they can continue their education.

Objective of Bihar NMMS Scholarship
The main objective of launching the Bihar NMMS Scholarship is to provide an opportunity for economically weaker section students to continue their education. Under this scholarship, financial assistance will be provided to the student so that they can continue their education without worrying about any financial hurdles. To take the benefit of this scholarship the applicant needs to pass the exam. The Scholarship exam will be held on 19th January 2025. All the students who want to take part in this examination can apply before the last date. The last day to apply for this examination is the first of December 2024. After applying under this examination the student can download their admit card online on 13th January 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Bihar
- An applicant must be studying in class 8th at a recognized government or government-aided school in Bihar.
- The candidate must have scored at least 55% marks for the general category and 50% marks for SC and ST category
- The age limit of the candidate should be more than 13 years as of 1st July 2024
- The annual income should not exceed more than INR 1.5 per annum from all sources
