Applications for the 2025–2026 academic year’s Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme 2025-26 (A120l) will be accepted through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations’ (ICCR) A2A Scholarship Portal beginning on February 20. International students can study undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies at 131 Indian universities and institutes under the scholarship program. ICCR’s A2A Scholarship Portal, located at https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in, will be the online platform for interested overseas students to submit their applications. On February 20, 2025, the online application site will be open, and the deadline for applications is April 30, 2025. Objective of Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship 2025-26
The primary Objective of Atal Vajpayee General Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the students who want to study in the countries that Inda has diplomatic relations with. In addition to the fundamental credentials mentioned in the application form, applicants must make sure they match the eligibility requirements for the course they have selected and provide any necessary supporting evidence. Students that are chosen must have health insurance that covers at least Rs. 5 lakhs annually. By May 31, 2025, the ICCR will make the admissions decisions public. By June 15, 2025, offer letters will be sent to confirmed students by Indian Missions Abroad. Offers must be accepted by June 22, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
- The candidates should speak English well.
- 18 to 40 years old for undergraduate and graduate courses, and no more than 50 years old for PhD programs as of July 1, 2025.
- According on their preferred order of study, the students will be able to apply to five different universities or institutions.
- To determine English competency, applicants must prepare a 500-word essay in English before being admitted.
- Additionally, students can submit their IELTS, TOFEL, and other tests. Scores from standardized tests, if available

Selection Process
- BE/B.Tech/BBA/BCA/BBA/ B.Sc, etc. (except Medical courses)
- Under the scholarship program, overseas students can study in 131 Indian universities and institutes for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees.
- Medical, paramedical, fashion, legal, and integrated studies such as B.A.-L.L.B. and B.Sc.-M.Sc. are not covered by the scholarship. Laboratory fees and other incidentals will be the responsibility of students enrolled in scientific courses.
