What Is Ashirwad Scholarship 2024?

The government of Punjab has launched a new scheme known as Ashirwad Scholarship for students who belong to the SC ST OBC category to encourage them to further studies. The main aim of launching the Ashirwad Scholarship is to provide educational opportunities to students who are financially weak. The main aim of launching the scholarship is to provide financial assistance so that they would be able to complete their dream academics without thinking about any financial hurdles. Objective Of Ashirwad Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria are required to avail of the benefit under Ashirwad Scholarship

• An applicant must be a permanent resident of India
• The candidate must belong to the SC ST OBC category
• The student must have passed class 10th from any recognized government-private recognised college or Board of Secondary Education
• The age of the applicant should not be less than 17 years
• The annual family income of the SC and ST categories should not exceed more than Rs. 2.50 lakhs from all the sources
• The annual family income of the OBC category should not exceed more than Rs. 1 lakhs from all the sources
• The candidate who wants to apply under the scheme should not be getting any other scholarship
• Students who are pursuing distance learning correspondence courses are not eligible to apply
• The applicants who are pursuing post-graduation in medicine are eligible to apply
