Objective of Ahimsa Fellowship

The primary Objective behind the Ahimsa Fellowship is to train and develop bright fellows into becoming a Saviour for the animals and their rights and to save them from cruelty. A competitive monthly stipend of up to ₹20,000 would be awarded to successful applicants, along with other worthwhile perks. People for Animals Uttarakhand and the People for Animals Public Policy Foundation are the driving forces behind the fellowship program. The following organizations sponsor it: Kaivalya Education Foundation, Miranda House College (University of Delhi), NALSAR University of Law, Fish Welfare Initiative India, India Animal Fund, Ahimsa Trust, Humane Society International – India, and Mercy for Animals India.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, a candidate must: 

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college, university, or institution, and be an Indian citizen. 
  • Be between the ages of 21 and 39 on December 31, 2025. 
  • Have excellent communication abilities in both a regional tongue and English. 
  • Be able to participate in the fellowship program for the full eight months.

Financial Benefits

  • Fellows will get a stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month for the first two of the eight months. Following that, they would earn a monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000.
