The students from the INSPIRE Faculty and Ramanujan Fellows can apply for this SERB Research Scientist Scheme. This scheme will allow the young scientist to continue their research even after their tenure is over which is of 5 years. This scheme will give an extra 2 years to all the students of the INSPIRE Faculty and Ramanujan Fellows. The SERB Research and Scheme will have no last date. The applicant can apply for the scheme at any point in time during the whole year.

The Science and Engineering Board of India launched the SERB Research Scientist Scheme. Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a student of INSPIRE Faculty or Ramanujan fellows
- Applicants must complete their fellowship within six months before or after completion of regular tenure of the INSPIRE Faculty of DST or Ramanujan Fellowship of SERB.
- The students of INSPIRE Faculty or Ramanujan fellows can apply for this scheme only once in their career
- The age limit of this scheme is 40 years

Duration of SERB Support
- The SERB Research Scientist Scheme is a temporary and constructual Assignment.
