The following are the details of the scholarship available by the Pondicherry government:-

Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Pre Matric Puducherry Scholarship for SC Students (Class IX & X)	Puducherry Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students introduced by The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. It is launched to support the parents of SC children for the education of their wards those who are studying in classes IX to X. This Scholarship also helps to minimize the drop-out of transition from the elementary to the secondary stage.  By this SC Children can improve their participation in classes IX to X at their pre-matric stage and also they can perform better and get a better opportunity for moving ahead to the post-matric stage of their education.
Post-Matric Centrally Sponsored Puducherry Scheme 2021 for SC Students (Class XI to XII)	Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students provides/supplements financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste Students who are studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary stage. This scheme makes sure that these students will complete their education.
Pre-Matric Scholarship to Other Economically Backward Class Students of VI to X (2020-21)	The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment introduced a Pre-Matric Scholarship to other economically backward class students who want to support the Parents of EBC children for the education of their wards those who are studying in VI to X so that the incidence of drop-out especially in the transition from the elementary to the secondary stage is minimized. By this EBC children can improve their participation in classes VI to X at their Pre-matric stage and also they can perform better and get a better opportunity for moving ahead to the post-matric stage of their education.
Pre Matric Puducherry Scholarship Centrally Sponsored Scheme For ST Students (Class IX & X)	Centrally Sponsored Puducherry Scheme of Pre Matric Scholarship for Needy ST Students support parents of ST children for the schooling of their wards those who are studying in classes IX and X. This Scholarship also helps to minimize the drop-out of transition from the elementary to the secondary stage. By this SC Children can improve their participation in classes IX to X at their pre-matric stage and also they can perform better and get a better opportunity for moving ahead to the post-matric stage of their education.
Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post Matric Puducherry Scholarship for ST Students	The main motto of this Post matric Puducherry scholarship scheme to ST Students is to provide financial help to the scheduled students at their post-matriculation or post-secondary stage. This scholarship also makes sure that these students complete their education without facing any inconvenience.
Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Pre Matric Scholarship to OBC Students (Class I to X)	Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Pre Matric Scholarship to OBC Students (Class I to X)  – Puducherry supports parents of OBC children for the education of their wards studying in classes I to X. This Scholarship also helps to minimize the drop-out of transition from elementary to secondary stage. By this OBC Children can improve their class participation I to X at their pre-matric stage and get a better opportunity for moving ahead to the post-matric stage of their education.
Post-Matric Centrally Sponsored Puducherry Scheme to OBC Students 2021	Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post Matric Scholarship to OBC Students supports parents of OBC children for the education of their wards studying in classes XI to XII. This Scholarship also helps to minimize the drop-out of transition from the elementary to the secondary stage. By this OBC Children can improve their class participation XI to XII at their post-matric stage and get a better opportunity for moving ahead to the post-matric stage of their education.
Pre Matric Scholarship to SC Students Class 6 to Class 10	Puducherry Pre Matric Scholarship to SC Students Class 6 to Class 10 provides financial assistance to scheduled caste students to complete their education up to the secondary level and to avoid the drop out of Scheduled caste students from their education.
Dr Ambedkar Grant of Financial Assistance Puducherry scheme to SC Students studying in Professional Colleges	Dr. Ambedkar for the Grant of Financial Assistance to SC Students studying in Professional Colleges (Graduation Level) – Puducherry grants financial assistance to SC students who have been sponsored by the CENTAC for admission and undergoing Professional Courses in government/government-recognized private colleges and also those SC students who have been admitted in the professional course run by institution/colleges of central /state / U.T. Government on their merit to mitigate their financial hardship in pursuing their higher studies.
Grant of ADHOC  Merit Puducherry Scholarship to SC Students	The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment introduced the Grant of ADHOC  Merit Puducherry Scholarship to SC Students every year. 90 fresh Scholarships will be distributed among the various examinations of the School leaving. First, Degree stages are based on the number of candidates who appeared in those examinations in the preceding year, provided that at least one award is made to each such examination even if it is not entitled to the same on the above basis.

Eligibility Criteria 

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

The applicant’s student Parent/Guardian’s income should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh per annum. The applicant student will not get any other centrally-funded Pre Matric Scholarship.
Post-Matric Centrally Sponsored Puducherry Scheme 2021 for SC Students (Class XI to XII)	The scholarship is open to the nation of India, Central University / State University under section 2 (f) and the UGC Act. Deemed University, Private University recognized by State/ Centre with ‘A’ Level or equivalent accreditation by NAAC, NBA
Pre-Matric Scholarship to Other Economically Backward Class Students of VI to X (2020-21)	The applicant students must be residents of the Union Territory. The applicant must be a student of VI standard to X standard and studying in recognized institutions situated within the U.T. of Pondicherry. The concessions under the scheme can not be held conjointly with any other scholarships provided partly or wholly at the cost of the state or of the Government of India.
Pre Matric Puducherry Scholarship Centrally Sponsored Scheme For ST Students (Class IX & X)	The student should belong to the Scheduled Tribe. The applicant will not get any other Centrally-funded Pre-Matric Scholarship. His / Her Parents’ / Guardian’ income should not exceed Rs.2/- Lakh per annum.
Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Post Matric Puducherry Scholarship for ST Students	The student who is studying in class XI of higher secondary schools that have a continuous school course of 12th class will not be eligible. This scholarship will be given for the study of all recognized post-matriculation for post-secondary institutions. The applicant should belong to ST so specified about the state/union.
Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Pre Matric Scholarship to OBC Students (Class I to X)	The student who is studying at the post-matriculation level (class 1 to 10) can apply for this scholarship. The student whose family’s Annual Income should not exceed INR 2.5/- Lakh for OBC candidates also can apply for this scholarship.
Post-Matric Centrally Sponsored Puducherry Scheme to OBC Students 2021	The student who is studying at the post-matriculation level (class 9 to 10) can apply for this scholarship. The student family’s annual income should not exceed INR 2.5/- Lakh for OBC candidates.
Pre Matric Scholarship to SC Students Class 6 to Class 10	The applicant student should belong to the scheduled caste. The applicant student should be a domicile of Puducherry. The applicant student must be studying in classes 6 to 10 at a recognized institution. The applicant students’ family income is less than the limit of income prescribed for BPL category individuals, i.e. INR 24,000/- annually
Dr Ambedkar Grant of Financial Assistance Puducherry scheme to SC Students studying in Professional Colleges	The applicant student should belong to the scheduled caste. The applicant student should be a domicile of Puducherry. The applicant student must have passed the higher secondary examination or equivalent. The applicant student should be studying professional courses in Government / Government recognized private colleges sponsored by CENTAC or got directly admitted in Central / State / UT government-run institutions /colleges on their merit.
Grant of ADHOC  Merit Puducherry Scholarship to SC Students	A candidate who is in full-time employment will not be eligible for the award of a Scholarship. The candidate who has passed the qualifying examination mentioned in Rule 1 a year before the year of the award of the scholarship will not be eligible for consideration. Those whose family annual income is below Rs.75000/- will be eligible for the scholarship.
