What Is the POSE Scholarship 2024?

Promotion of Science Education POSE Scholarship 2024 is a very helpful scholarship opportunity which is created by the organization of the Department of Science and Technology Haryana. This scholarship will be beneficial for students who are currently pursuing medical courses or courses that will be helpful in the scientific development of the country. This scholarship is especially available for students willing to give themselves for scientific purposes and pursue science-related courses.

Eligible Courses for Promotion of Science Education POSE Scholarship

The scholarship will be provided if the candidates take one of these two courses:-

• 3-year B.Sc./4-year BS/5-year integrated M.Sc./M.S. courses and
• 2-year M.Sc. course students opting for basic & natural science

The scholarship will be provided only for the following subjects:-

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Mathematics
• Biology
• Statistics
• Geology
• Astrophysics
• Astronomy
• Electronics
• Botany
• Zoology
• Biochemistry
• Anthropology
• Microbiology
• Geophysics
• Geochemistry
• Atmospheric Sciences
• Oceanic Sciences.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-

• For a 3-year B.Sc./4-year BS/5-year integrated M.Sc./M.S. in basic & natural science subjects, the students should have passed class X and XII Board examination from a school situated in Haryana with minimum 85% marks for Haryana Board schools and 90% marks for other boards like CBSE, ICSE, etc. in 12th class.
• For a 2-year M.Sc. in basic & natural science subjects, the student should have passed X, XII, and B.Sc./B.A. (B.A. for M.Sc. Mathematics) from school/college/university situated in Haryana with minimum 75% marks in B.Sc./B.A. class.
• The students selected under this scheme will not be entitled to any other scholarships.
• Only regular students will be eligible to apply for this scholarship. The students studying privately or through correspondence/distance mode or in unrecognized institutions will not be eligible for this scholarship.

Number Of Scholarship

The following number of scholarships are available in this scheme:-

• 3-year B.Sc./4-year BS/5-year Integrated M.Sc./M.S. courses – 150
• 2-year M.Sc. course – 50
• In case of a tie, preference will be given as under
  • Girls students will be preferred
  • Preference to language score (Better in English/Hindi) in 12th class board exam
  • Younger students in age will get preference.

Benefit Of POSE Scholarship

The following benefit will be provided on this scholarship:-

• Rs. 4,000/- Per Month for a 3-year B.Sc. course.
• Rs. 6,000/- Per Month for a 2-year M.Sc. course.
• If the students take admitted to a 4-year B.S. or 5-year integrated M.Sc./M.S. then the amount of scholarship during 1st, 2nd & 3rd year will be Rs. 4,000/- Per Month and during the 4th & 5th year Rs. 6,000/- per month.
• The selected students will get a mentorship grant (one time) of Rs. 12,000/- in a 3-year B.Sc. program, Rs. 17,000/- in a 4-year B.S. program, Rs. 22,000/- in a 5-year integrated M.Sc. program and Rs. 10,000/- in a 2-year M.Sc. program.

POSE Scholarship Selection Procedure

The applicant will be selected based on the following selection procedure:-

• For 3-year B.Sc. or 4-year BS or 5-year integrated M.Sc./M.S. Courses Merit list will be prepared based on the average percentage score obtained in the class 12th board examination in English/Hindi (better of the two) and the best of three out of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
• For a 2-year M.Sc, The merit list will be prepared on the basis of average percentage marks of the B.Sc./B.A. course in three years.

Documents Required

The following documents are required to be submitted for this scholarship:-

• Signature of the applicant
• Photograph of the applicant
• 10th standard certificate
• 12th Class Certificate
• B.Sc./B.A. Class Certificate (mandatory for the students applying for a 2-year M.Sc.)
• Certificate of admission from the Head/Principal/Registrar/Director of the college/university/institute. (as per annexure-I)
• Rural area school certificate of class 11th & 12th if claimed 3% additional weightage. (as per Annexure-II & II- A)
• Declaration from the student

To apply for the scholarship you will have to follow the following application procedure:-

• The homepage of the website will open on the screen.

• Click on the New User? Register Here button present on the home page.
• If registered already, log in with the details.
• The application form will be displayed on your screen

• You have to fill up the application form
• Upload all of the documents
• Successfully submit the application form
• Take a duly filled printout of the application form
• Submit the duly filled application form to your concerned organization.

View Selected List

• Click on the link given here to go to the official web page of the scholarship.
• The homepage of the website will open on the screen.
• Now go to the What’s New section of the website.
• A new page will open on the screen.

• Select the POSE Scholarship Selected List option from the screen.
• Now either select List of Selected students for 3-Year B.Sc./4-Year B.S./5-Year Integrated M.Sc./M.S. for the year 2020-21,
• Or select List of Selected students for 2-Year M.Sc for the year 2020-21.

• The list will open on the screen.

Track Application
