Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities scheme is run by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India. Under this scheme, all those students who have passed the 10th standard and taken admitted further in any course will get the benefits. Eligibility Criteria
- Aspirants must pass the 10th/ Secondary examination from a school recognized by the state or central board
- Aspirants must have taken admission in 11th/12th/ graduation degree course/ diploma course/ master degree course or certificate courses
- Students who are pursuing L.L.B/B.Ed/B.El.Ed. after B.A./B.Sc./B.E. etc. are eligible

- To apply for the scheme, you have to rush to Post Matric Scholarship website of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India
- From the home page go to the schemes and hit the scholarship option
- Now look for the “Umbrella “Scholarship Scheme for Students with Disabilities” w.e.f. 1st April 2018.” Or directly hit here
- To apply you have to register yourself with National Scholarship Portal
- From the home page, you need to click the “new registration” option
- Read the instructions appear on the screen very carefully
- Tick the checkbox, click the “continue” option and the application form will appear
- Enter the details as asked on the screen and captcha code
- Click the “Register” option and complete the process

Renewal of Scholarship
- Contenders have to apply for renewal of scholarship every year.
- In case the applicant is not able to pass his/her academic examination for the first time while pursuing the courses mentioned under Group 1, the scholarship may be renewed but second and subsequent failure are not acceptable and it may lead to let the student bear the expenses his own self until promoted to the next higher class.
- If the candidate is not able to crack the examination due to illness and or on account of any other unforeseeable event, the award may be renewed for the next academic year on submission of medical certificate
Mode of Disbursement of Scholarship
Disbursement of the scholarship amount will be made through the PFMS system by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. The amount will be directly transferred into the bank account of the beneficiaries.
Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities Renewal
- To renew the scholarship scheme, you have to rush to the official website of the nsp portal.
- The homepage of the website will appear on the screen
- No from the homepage, go to the Login option.
- Select the Renewal Login option along with the new year.
- The renewal login form will open on the screen.
- Enter the login details like the application ID and password.
- Now click on the login option and get successfully logged in.
- After that, the renewal application form will open.
