The National Sorghum Foundation was founded to support and encourage agricultural higher education, particularly the study of sorghum and its effects on agriculture. Bruce Maunder Memorial Scholarship
- Bruce Maunder, a sorghum industry researcher and lifetime champion, is honored with this fellowship. Maunder inspired a new generation while dedicating 37 years of his life to sorghum and agricultural development. Candidates must be enrolled in degree programs focused on agriculture and be sophomores through seniors.Â

- Undergraduate students at universities (freshmen through seniors) are required to be enrolled in a department with an agricultural focus.Â
Financial Benefits
The following will be included in the scholarship package:
- One semester’s tuition will be paid for with the $1500 reward.Â
Darrell Rosenow Memorial Scholarship
After more than 40 years of breeding sorghum plants, Darrell Rosenow transformed hybrid sorghum in the US. Sophomores through seniors must be engaged in agriculture-based scientific programs that focus on sorghum and include agronomy, plant pathology, entomology, and/or plant breeding.

Eligibility Criteria
- Undergraduate students in universities, both local and foreign (sophomore through senior standing).
- Â Must be enrolled in an agronomy-related scientific program with an agricultural focus. Sorghum-focused plant breeding, entomology, and/or plant pathology.Â

- Tuition for one semester will be covered by the $1500 in the scholarship package. Â
Bill Kubecka Memorial Scholarship
For almost twenty years, Bill Kubecka led the sorghum business, leaving a legacy of commitment and service to the field he loved. This scholarship covers travel costs for the chosen student to attend the annual legislative fly-in of the National Sorghum Producers in addition to the tuition grant. Applications are open to law school students, graduate students, and sophomores through seniors in undergraduate programs. Candidates must be enrolled in an agricultural economics, agricultural policy, or agricultural law course of study.
Eligibility Criteria
- Law school students, graduate students, or university undergraduates (freshmen through seniors).
- Needs to be enrolled in a course that covers farm policy, agriculture economics, or agricultural law.

- As a financial aid a Tuition for one semester will be covered by $1500.
