As we all know there are many ST-category students who are due to their weak financial condition and not able to pursue their higher education. And their dream of pursuing professional courses stayed incomplete. keeping this in mind the Ministry of Tribal Affairs Government of India has launched the National fellowship and scholarship for the higher education of ST Students For Higher Education. Under this scheme, National Fellowship and scholarships for higher education are provided to the ST category student so that they will be able to pursue professional courses at graduation and post-graduation level

Selection Criteria Of National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students Scholarship

The selection criteria under this scheme are as follows

• The application form will be verified by the Institute
• The institute will verify each and every detail with authenticity
• After that, the application will be processed keeping in mind the number of slots for the different categories
• The merit list will the auto-generated and will get updated on the portal

Rewards Under Scholarship

The details of the rewards for this scholarship are as follows:

Fellowship	Rs. 750 will be rewarded as a fellowship to the ST student Under M. Phill, the student will be rewarded with Rs. 25,000 per month as a fellowship amount Under M. Phill, the contingency amount of Rs. 10,000 per annum will be given with the humanities and social science amount of Rs. 12,000 for science engineering and technology Under M. Phill, the HRA  amount will be given as per the rules Under M. Phill, the amount of Rs. 2000 per month will be given as escort and reader assistance to physically handicapped and blind candidates For Ph. D Students, A fellowship amount of Rs. 28,000 will be provided to the student per month For Ph. D students, amount of Rs. 20,500 per annum will be given for humanities and Social sciences and Rs. 25,000 will be given for science engineering and technology For Ph. D students, the HRA amount will be given as per the rules For Ph.D. students, the amount of Rs. 2000 will be given for escort reader assistance for physically handicapped and blind candidates.
Scholarship	Full tuition fee assistance of Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum will be given under this scholarship. Rs. 3,000 per annum will be given to the student for books and stationery Rs. 2,200 per annum with a mixed ceiling of Rs. 26,400 per annum will be given as living expenses Rs. 45,000 will be provided as one-time assistance for computer and accessories

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the National Fellowship And Scholarship For Higher Education is as follows:

Fellowship	Candidate must have passed the post-graduation examination An applicant must get admitted or registered under full-time M. Phill / Ph. D program in recognizing institutions under section 2 (f) of the UGC The applicant must have to fulfill the prescribed UGC/ ICAR norm
Scholarship	An applicant must have taken admitted in the institution identified by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs The annual family income of the student should not exceed more than 6 lakhs
