The Meghalaya state government has released the Meghalaya Post Matric Scholarship 1st Installment for ST Students 2025. All the students of Meghalaya state who have applied for the Meghalaya post-matric scholarship will now receive the first installment of the scholarship. The first installment of the scholarship will be given to the selected students who belong to the scheduled tribe category. The Ministry of Education of Meghalaya state released the first installment of the scholarship on 20th June 2025. About Meghalaya Post Matric Scholarship 2025
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs of India, along with the Ministry of Education of Meghalaya state, has introduced the Meghalaya Post Matric Scholarship 2025. With the help of this scholarship, the authorities will help the students of Meghalaya state to pursue higher education after completing the 12th class examination. The financial assistance under the scholarship depends upon the course that does student is pursuing and whether the student is a day scholar or a hostel scholar. Only the students who have an annual income of less than INR 2.5 lakh and belong to the ST community will be selected.

Objective of Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students
The main objective of launching the Post Matric Scholarship for ST Students is to allow the students to pursue higher education without going through any financial difficulties. Till now, a total of 61000 students of Meghalaya state have received the scholarship. Under the first installment of the scholarship, the Meghalaya state government has provided 20% of the total scholarship. According to the information, the Meghalaya state government will take a total of 3 to 4 installments to provide the full amount of the scholarship to the students.
