Bright young men and women will be given HSCST Fellowship 2025 by the Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation, and Technology (HSCSIT). This fellowship has been launched to train in research techniques under the knowledgeable supervision of faculty members and scientists employed in Haryana’s university departments, national laboratories, and institutes in a variety of scientific and technological and medical sciences fields. Universities, post-graduate colleges, government research facilities, R&D facilities in the public or private sectors, industrial companies, and other accredited Haryana institutions are eligible to apply for the HSCST Fellowships 2025. The program’s goal is to help S&T develop its human resources.

Objective of HSCST Fellowship  

The primary objective of HSCST Fellowship is to provide Financia assistance to the students who want to do master’s and carry on research and development along with their studies. HSCST Fellowships are given to those who have earned an M.Sc. or its equivalent, have at least 55% of the possible points, and have passed the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and LS-NET. They must also be eligible for a lectureship (NET). Science-related fields, including the life sciences, physical sciences, chemical sciences, mathematical sciences, and earth sciences, are the focus of research fellowships. The scholarships will entail full-time research work at any Haryana institution or university, culminating in a Ph. D. degree in the pertinent fields.

Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met by Haryana applicants to be eligible for the HSCST Fellowship Program. 

  • M.Sc. or an equivalent degree with at least 55% in any of the disciplines listed in the above major subject areas.
  • The JRF upper age restriction is 28 years old as of June 1, 2024, although it can be lowered by up to 5 years for candidates who are women, members of Schedule Castes or Schedule Tribes, applicants who are physically disabled, or applicants who are OBC. 
  • JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC) and LS-NET applicants who passed the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for lectureship (NET) on July 25, 26, and 27 of 2024 to pursue a Ph.D. at any Haryana university or institute. 

Age Limit

  • As of 1.6.2023, the upper age restriction for JRF is 28 years old; however, this is lowered by up to 5 years for candidates who are OBC, women, members of Schedule Castes or Schedule Tribes, or who are physically disabled.

Fellowship Stipend

  • A fellowship equivalent to that of CSIR/UGC, which is INR 31,000 per month for Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) and INR 35,000 per month for Senior Research Fellows (SRFs), would be awarded to those who have qualified for JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC). 
  • The current CSIR/UGC fellowship rates, which are INR 18,000 per month for Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) and INR 21,000 per month for Senior Research Fellows (SRFs), would be awarded to candidates who have qualified LSNET.
  • The university or institution will receive an annual contingency grant of INR 20,000 as part of the fellowship.

  • A kind of official identification, such as a PAN card, driver’s license, voter ID card, or Aadhaar card. 
  • Matriculation Certificate: Reserved Category Copy Certificate 
  • The CSIR LS NET certificate or the CSIR JRF 
  • Passport-sized picture scan of the M.Sc. final year certificate 
  • Student proof in the event of a physical disability, scanned signature

Selection Process

  • Candidates will be chosen based on how well they performed on the National Testing Agency’s (NTA) Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship. The deserving will get the fellowship.
  • Applicants who are eligible for a lectureship (NET) to complete their Ph. D. study at any Haryana university or institute and who have passed the Joint CSIR-UGC Test with JRF-NET (CSIR/UGC) and LS-NET for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF).
