This scheme is offered by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra. Students who wish to get the benefits of the scholarship program can apply online. About Government Research Adhichatra Maharashtra
Under the Government Research Adhichatra scheme students who are pursuing research (Ph.D. Degree) after post-graduation degree will be benefited. Beneficiaries will get cash awards directly in their respective bank account. There are 28 seats available only under this program. Students have to follow the step-by-step instructions given under the head application process below to submit the application. Selection of the students for the scholarship program will be made on the basis of merit.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be an Indian citizen residing in Maharashtra state
- An applicant must hold a post-graduation degree with at least 60% marks
- Applicant must be studying in any of the following institutes
- Govt. Science Institute (Mumbai, Nagpur, Aurangabad),
- Govt. Vidarbha Gyan Vidnyan Science Institute (Amravati),
- Vasant Rao Naik Mahavidyalaya College (Nagpur),
- Universities and affiliated colleges

Government Research Adhichatra 2023 Application Procedure
- To apply for the Adhichatra, you should open the Government Research website of the MahaDBT portal
- On the home page of the portal, you have to go to the post-matric scholarship option given under the click below link to proceed
- A new page will open, choose the new applicant registration option to open the application form
- Enter the following ask details in the application form that appears on the screen
- Applicant
- Username
- Password
- Email ID and select get OTP for email ID verification
- You will receive an email entering the OTP you received
- Mobile number
- Select get OTP for mobile number
- You will receive an SMS, enter the OTP you received
- Select the Register button and a successfully registered message will show on the screen
- If already registered with the portal prior, hit the Login option and log in by using your user name and password
- User dashboard will open, select the “Government Research Adhichatra” and apply the link
- Mention all the necessary details as asked in the form
- Upload the significant documents as listed above
- Review the complete filled application and check the information you entered is accurate
- Submit it and Take a print of it for further use if required
