The Erasmus Mundus Programme promotes the visibility and appeal of European higher education in third countries by supporting high-quality Master’s programs. The Euroculture Master’s program is offering many Erasmus Mundus scholarships. Qualified candidates will get scholarships as awards at least until the project’s conclusion in 2026. The scholarship application period is from October 16, 2023, to December 1, 2023. Applicants who submit their applications later are solely considered self-funding. The same application method applies to applying to Euroculture for a scholarship or as a self-financing student. No more scholarship applications is required. There are presently no application fees for prospective students at Euroculture. About Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2024

Eramus Mundas scholarship program is launched by the European Commission to support education, training, youth, and sports in Europe. Around 3000 scholarships are awarded under this scheme every year to the students. This scholarship is mainly for the students who apply for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degrees program. People will get a lot of opportunities if they go to the Europe by using the scholarship program. The selection of the student will be done on a merit basis. In the year 2024, around 161 Indian students have been awarded this scholarship. Out of these 161 students, around 88 of them were women. Out of 167 countries India got the first rank in the second consecutive year to get this scholarship.

Objective Of Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

The main objective of Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is to provide a proper opportunity for people to learn various types of education in a foreign country. This is a great opportunity for people who want to be a part of a prestigious organization outside their home country. The students who will stay for a particular duration in one country will be eligible for these scholarship opportunities. You can be a part of the organization and you will be eligible to take a fully funded scholarship which is directly presented by the European government. This scholarship will be available for 2 years of master’s level studies for the students coming from the countries eligible for the scholarship. 

Benefits of Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 

Some of the key benefits of the scholarship are as follows:

  • The student award covers enrollment fees, a living expenses allowance, and a contribution toward travel and installation expenses.
  • During the 24-month program, each recipient will get EUR 1,000 per month for daily expenses. The scholarship also comprises a donation toward travel and installation, as well as Euroculture participation charges of EUR 9.000 (EU students) / 18.000 (non-EU students), which include health insurance coverage for 24 months.
  • The amount of the scholarship varies based on study level and duration.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2024 Coverage

The applicants who are applying for this scholarship will be provided with the following coverage so that they can continue their education:-

  • Waived tuition fees
  • A stipend of 1,100 to 1,200 euros a month for 24 months
  • Travel allowance
  • International airfare tickets to travel from one country to another once the semester is over
  • No bond restriction to return to your study destination

Exemptions

There are some exemptions available in this scholarship program and you can check out the exemptions from the details given below:-

  • The candidates can apply for the scholarship despite waiting for their final semester results.
  • The applicants are not required to submit a GRE test score. 
  • The applicants are not required to contact a professor or anyone equivalent to get the scholarship. 
  • The applicants are not required to have any prior work experience.
  • The applicant can apply for this scholarship when they are 16 years old and there are no age restrictions beyond that.
  • The applicants can apply for this scholarship despite having a below-average CGPA 
Eligibility Criteria 

The applicants applying for Erasmus Mundus Scholarship must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • By the application deadline, scholarship candidates must have earned a first higher education degree or demonstrated a recognized comparable level of learning under national norms and legislation.
  • Scholarship holders from Partner Countries do not receive a monthly subsistence payment for EMJMD periods of more than three months (equal to 15ECTS credits) spent in any Partner Country.
  • Applicants who have already received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) scholarship or who have previously received an Erasmus Mundus Master/Doctoral Course scholarship are not eligible for a second EMJMD scholarship. Students who receive an EMJMD scholarship are not eligible for any other EU funding while completing their EMJMD courses.
  • Here is a list of nations whose citizens are eligible for a scholarship. A distinction is made between students from program countries and students from partner countries. Students from program countries will receive no more than 25% of the total number of scholarships offered.
  • Applicants from partner countries who have spent more than twelve months of their main activity (studies, work, etc.) in any of the program countries (EU Plus Turkey, Macedonia, Norway, Lichtenstein, Iceland) in the last five years shall consider program country candidates under the 12-month rule.
  • Any application that is to consider must be complete and submitted on time. Required documents can be found in the menu on the left.
  • Please note that in any given academic year, student candidates can apply for a maximum of three distinct Erasmus Mundus joint programs (see the EMJMD catalog).
