The primary objective of Dr Gita Piramal’s Scholarship is to provide financial assistance and support to the students in India so they can pursue their higher studies abroad. The Dr. Gita Piramal Scholarship, which provides complete tuition and a living stipend, is said to be designed to uplift the best Indian brains. This scholarship will be awarded for the first five years to students who are financially challenged. This scholarship also would enhance India’s intellectual pool and support the nation’s long-term development. Selection Process
- Only at Somerville is this scholarship viable. Regardless of the college choice listed in the graduate application, all qualified applicants who submit their applications for graduate studies before the applicable funding deadline will be taken into consideration. Those that are accepted will be moved to Somerville to accept the scholarship. Interviews and shortlisting are expected to occur in April 2025.
- At the end of February 2025, an email will be sent to all applicants who have applied for one of the relevant courses and who fulfill the residence requirements. To confirm that their studies are pertinent to the Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development and that they would wish to be considered for the scholarship, they will be asked to fill out a brief online form.
