What Is BPL Scholarship 2024?

A new scholarship is presented by the Indian government in order to help the people who are currently studying in the Chhattisgarh state and want to continue their education even after they have completed their class 12th board exams. The people who are permanent residents of Chhattisgarh state can fill out the application form for this scholarship by visiting the official website of the national scholarship portal. The BPL Scholarship for Chhattisgarh college students was inaugurated in the year 2005 and the benefits have been provided to the people who belong to the below poverty line category. The people will be able to apply for the scholarship before the last date to be eligible.

Benefits Of the BPL Scholarship

The applicant will be provided with the following benefits if we are applying for this prestigious scholarship scheme:-

• The selected candidates will receive INR 500 per month (up to 20 months) for postgraduate level students and INR 300 per month (up to 30 months) for Graduate level students.

Selection Procedure 

The applicant will have to go through the following selection procedure for the prestigious scholarship:-

• The online applications would be verified at two levels:
  • o By the Institute where the student is studying.
  • o By the State Govt office.
• The applicant requires to submit the required documents to the Institute.
• An application that is not verify either by the institute or by concern State Govt Office or by both will treat as Invalid
• The scholarship is disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode i.e. directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiary. To have seamless disbursal of scholarships, students are require to seed the Aadhar with the bank account. 

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria in order to apply for the scholarship:-

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen
• The applicant must be studying in any Government college in Chhattisgarh
• The applicant must have a BPL card
• The applicant must have passed the annual examination on the first attempt.
• The applicant must not be getting the benefit of any other scholarship scheme.
• The applicant must not have short attendance.

BPL Scholarship 2024 Application Procedure

To apply for the scholarship we will have to follow the simple procedure given below:-

• The candidates will first have to visit the BPL website of the national scholarship portal by clicking on the link given here

• The home page will open on your screen.
• Click on the option called New Registration

• A new page will open on your screen where you will have to click on the option called Click here for Scholarship Schemes hosted on NSP for AY 2022-23

• The instructions will open on your screen.
• Tick mark the declaration.
• Click on the “Continue” option.
• Enter all of the details.
• Enter name, date of birth, mobile number, gender, email ID, bank details etc.
• Enter the captcha code y
• Click the “Register” option.
• Now you have to log in using your credentials.
• Click on the option called Application Form

• The application form will display on the screen
• Enter details including the State of Domicile, Name of the student, Date of Birth, Community/ Category, Father’s Name, Aadhaar card Number, Mobile Number, Scholarship Category, Gender, Religion, Mother’s Name, Annual Family Income, Email ID etc.
• Click on “Save & Continue”
• Upload the documents.
• Click on “Final Submission’’
• The application form will be successfully submitted.

NSP Application Status

If you want to check the application status then you will have to follow the simple procedure given:-

• The candidates will first have to visit the official website of the national scholarship portal by clicking on the link given here
• The home page will open on your screen.
• Click on the option called Login.
• You have to now click on the option called Previous Year Application Status

• Click on the year of your choice and the status will open on your screen. 
• A new page will open on your screen.
• You need to select your year from the drop-down menu.
• A new page will open on your screen.
• Enter your application ID and password.
• Click on the option called Submit.
• The application status will open on your screen.

Terms and Conditions

The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions in order to apply for this scholarship:-

• The online application must be verified by the institute and the State Govt office. 
• Applications that will not be verified either by the institute or by the concerned State Govt Office or by both will be treated as ‘Invalid’.
• The students are advised not to change their mobile numbers for the duration of the scholarship.
• The scholarship is disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
• The bank account should be in the student’s name.  
• The complete account number and IFSC code must be entered correctly.
• The facility to update bank account details shall be provided only once.
• The students should remember their PID as it will be required at the time of renewal application.
