The Ban Ki-Moon Scholarship under the patronage of excellence allows students engaged in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) to study and develop at a prestigious University in Europe. Supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals is a joint mission of the 8th UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and MCI (Management Centre Innsbruck). The Ban ki-Moon Scholarship is applicable to first-year students for the respective master’s program.   • In addition, the Entrepreneurial School provides study courses in the promising fields of technology and life sciences. These courses teach comprehensive know-how in process, machine, electrical, and energy engineering.
  • Applicants are welcome to apply simultaneously for more than one study program at the MCI as long as they convincingly communicate their motivation for the choices made. 

Scholarship Amount

  • The applicants will get 10,000 Euros/ 8,88,730.47 Indian Rupees.
  • The scholarship amount will offset the corresponding amount of the tuition fees for the first academic year; it cannot be used to cover any other expenses like- travel, accommodation, etc.

Selection Process for Ban Ki-Moon Scholarship

Applications will be evaluated in a two-stage process based on the selection criteria mentioned above.

  • In a pre-selection round, applications will be short-listed.
  • Subsequently, short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview with the jury consisting of jurors from the Ban Ki-Moon Centre and MCI.
  • The final decision is made based on the following weighting:
  • 50% submitted documents
  • 50% interview with the jury

Eligibility Criteria 

  • For all masters’ programs: Nationals of Non-EU countries
  • For all Executive masters’ programs: All nationals
  • Students who have been engaged and committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aim to further engage with and promote these goals during their studies.
  • Available for freshers who are required to pay the current annual tuition fee.
