The Government of India has launched the ASEM-DUO Wallonia-Brussels Mobility Scholarship 2025-26. To provide a chance for the professors and researchers to enhance their knowledge in their respective fields Significantly the authorities have introduced the ASEM-DUO Wallonia-Brussels Mobility Scholarship. The scheme promotes “paired exchanges” between professors or researchers from Wallonia-Brussels higher education institutions and institutions from the Asia-Pacific region. The duration of the mobility under the scholarship is 18 days to 2 months for a total of two people are professor and a researcher. Professors and researchers who clear the eligibility criteria can visit the official website and fill out the application form online.

Objective of ASEM-DUO Wallonia-Brussels Mobility Scholarship
The main objective of launching the scholarship is to allow the researchers of both regions to exchange knowledge and learn about each other’s region and culture. This scholarship will strengthen the cooperation and the International relations between the two regions. The scholarship mobility will take place between August 1st of the academic year and August 31st of the following academic year. The amount of the scholarship awarded to the duo is a sum of €7,000 to be shared between the two partners according to a distribution key set by them in the application form.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applications must be submitted by a pair of Academic Staff from higher education Institutions one from the FWB and the other from an Asia-Pacific country.
- Both the researcher and professor must be remunerated by their institutions and have their main occupation (full-time or part-time, min. 50%).
- The priority will be given to candidates with a minimum 3-year tenure in their positions.
- The institution must be recognized or accredited by competent higher education authorities
- Institutions must sign a cooperation agreement (MoU) or express intent to sign one within two years.
- A duo can apply no more than twice for the same project and receive ASEM-DUO FWB funding only once for the same project.
- Previous funding via the FWB ASEM-DUO program must be disclosed in the application.
- The duo will have to disclose previous funding from ARES or other organizations along with an explanation of how the ASEM-DUO scholarship complements it.

- Balance exchange: the scholarship will promote an increase in balanced exchanges of professors and researchers in higher education between the two regions.
- Duration of stay: The duration of the exchange must be of at least 18 days and of maximum 2 months (60 days), including travel days. This period may be divided in two stays.

Application Process
- STEP 1: All the academics who clear the eligibility criteria must visit the official website and download the application form.

- STEP 2: Once the Academics reach the homepage of the official website they must locate and click on the option “download application form”.
- STEP 3: Now the academic must fill out the application form in attach all the necessary documents and other documents.
- STEP 4: After successfully filling out the application form the academic can submit their application form to the concerned person.
