Financial crises of the family lead to a drop in the academics of many brilliant students. To support the student many steps have been taken by the state/ central government by providing them with scholarships. Chief Minister Mr. Basavaraj Bommai of Karnataka has announced Karnataka Farmers Child Scholarship Scheme to promote education and encourage the child of the farmers of the state. The scheme was announced on 7 August 2021 by the CM.
Fisherman Weaver Kids Also To Be Included in Scheme
In the latest announcement made by the Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, the Raita Vidya Nidhi Scholarship has been extended for the children of Weavers and fishermen families for this year as well. The CM also announced that the hostel facilities will also be provided to the children of fishermen families so as to avoid any kind of trouble in pursuing higher education. The scholarship scheme has been extended with the objective of reducing the illiteracy rate and unemployment rate in the state.

Mukhyamantri Raitha Vidya Nidhi Scholarship Rules Modified
As per the latest information released by the concerned authority for the scholarship, slight changes in this scholarship have been made. Now the farmer’s children can avail benefits of the Mukhyamantri Raitha Vidya Nidhi Scholarship even if they are already getting paid for any other scholarship program due to the modification in the regulations of the scholarship. The government will identify students eligible for the scholarship program from various Ministries and provide them with financial aid. The amount of financial aid will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries by the government.

Beneficiaries who get selected for the scholarship will get the following amount per year as per the course via the DBT system directly in their bank account:

- You must be a native of Karnataka state.
- Your father should be a farmer by profession.
