The Santoor Scholarship 2024 for young women, now in its ninth year, is recently announced. In the last eight years, the initiative has helped over 8,000 students pursue postsecondary education in fields such as science, business, engineering, medicine, humanities, and healthcare. 1,500 female students from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh will receive scholarship support from the program in 2024–2025. Up till their degree program is over, each chosen student will get a yearly stipend of INR 24, 000. Students from aspirational (backward) districts in these states are eligible for priority support. 

Objective of Santoor Scholarship 

The main objective of the Santoor Scholarship is to provide financial support to underprivileged students. Under this program, the young women who wish to achieve higher education will be benefited. The students who want to pursue their careers in the field of science, business, engineering, medicine, humanities, and healthcare will be given the scholarship up to the last year of their course. The students will receive an amount of 24,000 yearly under this program. Students belonging to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Chhattisgarh will be given priority under this program.

Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for applying under this scheme is simple and is given below:-

• Available to young women living in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, and Chhattisgarh who come from disadvantaged households. 
• Candidates need to possess: graduated from a local government school’s 10^th grade. 
• Must have passed the 12^th grade in the academic year 2023–2024 at a junior college or government school.
• The applicant must be enrolled in a graduate program full-time beginning in 2024–2025

Financial Benefits 

Under this program, applicants will receive rupees 24,000 annually until they complete their degree.
