Romania Government Scholarship for Indian UG, PG, and PhD Students 2025

The Embassy of Romania has launched the Romania Government Scholarship for Indian UG, PG, and PhD Students. With the help of this scholarship, Indian students who are pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD programs will get a chance to complete their education in Romania. With the help of this scholarship, the students can get exceptional experience by getting an education under professionals and professors in Romania. This scholarship will provide financial support to students who cannot afford proper education in various fields of study except Medicine, Dental Medicine, and pharmacy. The students can visit the official website and fill out the application form to avail the benefits of the scholarship. 

Objective of Romania Government Scholarship

The main objective of launching the Romania Government Scholarship is to allow Indian students to experience higher education and Romania. Using the scholarship the students can pursue higher education in Romania regardless of their financial status. All the Students who clear the eligibility criteria can start submitting the application from 29th January 2025 and the last date to fill out the application form is 12th March 2025. The students must note that if there pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees they have to complete their course in Romanian language only. For candidates who do not speak Romanian, a preparatory year is granted for the study of the Romanian language prior to the actual university studies.

Eligibility Criteria 

• The students have to submit a complete application file.
• The students must hold valid academic documents issued by recognized institutions.
• The students must meet the prescribed application deadlines.
• The students must have obtained a minimum average score of 7 (or “Good” in the Romanian grading system) in their most recent academic qualifications.

Financial Benefits

• The students will get a fee exemption under the scholarship so they do not have to pay the required for registration, application processing, language testing, or admission tests for doctoral studies.
• The scholarship will also provide coverage of tuition expenses for the Romanian language preparatory year and the regular study program, up to the duration of the university cycle. 
• The students will also receive monthly scholarships if they are in the Romanian language preparatory year, as well as for students in bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs (up to the duration of the study cycle).
• The students will also receive accommodation expenses depending upon the subject’s availability. 
• The students will also get access to local public, ground, naval, underground transport, and domestic travel (car, railway, naval) on the same terms as Romanian students, in accordance with legal provisions.

Language of Study

• The students pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate will have to complete their studies only in the Romanian language. 
• The students pursuing doctoral courses can choose Romania or any other foreign language chosen by the doctoral college.

• The last date to fill out the application form for the scholarship is 12th March 2025. 

Announcement of Result

• The results of the Romania Government Scholarship will be announced by the authority on 30th June 2025.

Application Process

• STEP 1: All the students who want to apply for the Romania Government Scholarship are requested to visit the official website by clicking on the link here.

• STEP 2: Once the students reach the homepage of the official website they must locate and click on the option called “Apply for MFA scholarship”.

• STEP 3: A new page will appear on your desktop screen the students must click on the option “create your account” and enter the details that are asked to create their account.
• STEP 4: After successfully creating your account the students must click on the option apply for the scholarship and the application form will appear on your desktop screen. 
• STEP 5: The students must now enter all the details that are asked and attach all the necessary documents.
• STEP 6: After entering all that details the students must quickly review it and click on the option “submit” to complete their process.
