Covid Warrior Scholarship Programs | Candidates must submit a valid photo identity proof for the scholarship he/she is applying for. A certificate from the Head of the Institute needs to be submitted to certify concerned employees’ involvement in services listed in Table – A during the COVID-19 lockdown. Only regular-mode program candidates are eligible for the scholarship. Wards will also include daughters or sons who are financially dependent. Only Indian citizens are eligible for the scholarship. Scholarships are awarded in phases based on the scheme in effect at the time of application and the verification and authentication of information, certificates, and other papers as necessary by UPES. The Corona Warriors Scholarship Scheme is only available for a one-year duration program only. Only after the candidate’s original documents have been verified will he or she be awarded a scholarship. If a candidate is unable to submit the required documentation within the time frame set by the university (up to 6 months from the last day of admission), the scholarship will not be given or may be canceled if it has already been awarded. The Corona Warriors Scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarship except any scholarship required by law, such as the UPES Domicile Concession Scholarship. Subject to the preceding pointer, if an applicant is eligible for this Scholarship, or any other Scholarship, as well as any other monetary advantage under any other UPES scheme or policy, the applicant must choose only those schemes to keep the overall limit to 50% of the Tuition Fee for one year. A candidate admitted under the Post Matric Scholarship or any other Government Scholarship for a complete program fee waiver can apply for a University Scholarship up to 50% of the Tuition Fee, as mentioned in the table above. If it is discovered at any point during the application process that an applicant has concealed, suppressed, or distorted any information or facts that would have rendered him ineligible for admission and/or the Scholarship, the admission and/or Scholarship will be canceled, and legal action will be taken as per the law. If it is discovered at any point during the application process that the applicant was admitted and/or the Scholarship was awarded incorrectly by the University due to a staff error or otherwise, the candidate will be entitled to the actual fee, scholarship, or financial aid as specified in the relevant Student Bulletin. Any additional funds already given to the candidate may be reclaimed from the student. At its sole discretion, UPES reserves the right to refuse, limit, or restrict the number of students (beneficiaries) or the Scholarship % under the COVID 19 Scholarship scheme.COVID 19 Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited scholarship seats available on a case-by-case basis. The deadline to apply for the COVID 19 Scholarship is 30 days after the students’ admission date at UPES for the academic year 2021-22. |
Girl Child Scholarship for Undergraduate Programs | Candidates must have enrolled at UPES for any Undergraduate course in the 2021-22 academic year. Students must not defer registration with UPES under any circumstances. Each semester, the student must have an attendance of at least 85%. The aspirants must have scored at least 8 CGPA in the preceding year. Candidates should not have been debarred from taking the end-of-semester examination due to less attendance, disciplinary grounds, or any other activity that violates the University’s code of conduct. Aspirants must clear all their courses on the first attempt. For the entire duration, the candidates must not have taken any improvement exams for any of the courses. A scholarship that has been discontinued for the duration of the course will be treated as discontinued for the duration of the course. |
Girl Child Scholarship for Postgraduate Programs | Candidates must have enrolled at UPES for any postgraduate degree in the 2021-22 academic year. Aspirants must not defer registration with UPES under any circumstances. The students must have 85% attendance every semester. Candidates must have achieved at least 8 CGPA last year. Students must not have been barred from taking the semester-end exams due to low attendance, disciplinary grounds, or any other activity that violates the code of conduct. The candidates must have qualified for all their programs on the first attempt. Aspirants must not have appeared for improvement exams for any of the courses in the entire duration. A scholarship that has been discontinued for the duration of the course will be treated as discontinued for the duration of the course. |
B Tech Merit-Based scholarship | Students who achieve an average of 80% in classes X and XII and 80% in PCM for Tech (All Streams) in Computer Science and Engineering will be eligible for a scholarship. Scholarships will be limited to 10% of each B.Tech program’s seats. Scholarships will be awarded to qualifying students based on merit in the first semester.UPES Dehradun scholarship is provided on the basis of merit. Scholarships will be renewed according to university regulations in subsequent years. |
B.Tech Scholarships Uttarakhand State Board Toppers | Merit order allotment of 1 seat per program. The 15% quota for Uttarakhand residents would apply to the seats reserved under this category. Students must have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate). A student will only be eligible for one scholarship either through Uttarakhand Board Toppers or through the Uttarakhand Resident category. Scholarships will be awarded based on the University’s merit scholarship policy in subsequent years. |
UPES BBA Merit-Based Scholarship | Obtained 75% marks in grades 10th and 12th |
Uttarakhand State Board Toppers Scholarships for BBA Programs | Secured at least 80% marks in Class 10th and 12th in UK State Board. Top 150 students from the UK State Board.Merit order allotment of 1 seat per program. The 15% reservation for Uttarakhand Domicile students will apply to the seats reserved under this category. Candidates must have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate). Students will be entitled only to 1 scholarship at a time (either through Uttarakhand Board Toppers or through the Uttarakhand Domicile category). Scholarships in subsequent years will be as per the merit scholarship policy of the University. |
UPES LLB Merit-Based Scholarship | A minimum of 75% marks in classes X and XII. |
Uttarakhand State Board Toppers Scholarships in LLB Program | Candidates must have secured at least 80% marks in X, XII class and PCM for B.Tech, while an 80% aggregate is required for BBA and Law in Class X and XII. Top 150 students from the UK State Board.Merit order allotment of 1 seat per program. The seats allotted under this category will be among the 15% reserved seats for Uttarakhand residents. Candidates must have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate). Students will only be eligible for one scholarship at a time, either the Uttarakhand Board Toppers or the Uttarakhand Domicile category. Scholarships in subsequent years will be as per the merit scholarship policy of the University. |

Fellowship for M.Tech Students | Students admitted to M.Tech degree in the academic year 2020-21 with a valid GATE score of 70%, or higher will be considered for a scholarship of Rs. 12,400/- per month throughout their registration term with the university. To be eligible for the continuation scholarship in future semesters, you must have obtained 8.0 SGPA / CGPA in every semester. Apart from maintaining attendance, Candidates must have cleared the semester exams on the first attempt. |
