In order to ensure that financial obstacles have no impact on the academic advancement of underprivileged students pursuing undergraduate courses in agriculture, Louis Dreyfus Company India Private Limited launched the Louis Dreyfus Agri-Scholars Program 2024–25. Students enrolled in agricultural courses in their first and second years are both eligible to apply. A one-time scholarship of up to rupees 50,000 will be awarded to deserving students from the College of Agriculture (Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology), Punjab Agricultural University (Ludhiana), College of Agriculture (Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur), and Anand Agricultural University (Anand) to aid in their academic endeavors.
Objective of Louis Dreyfus Agri-Scholars Program
The main objective of Louis Dreyfus Agri-scholars program is to provide financial assistance to underprivileged students. Students who are in their first and second years of agricultural courses are eligible to apply under this scheme. Under this scheme, the company will provide a scholarship of rupees 50,000 to the eligible candidates. Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for applying under this scheme is given below:-
- The following colleges’ first- and second-year agricultural undergraduate students are eligible: Agricultural College (Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology) Ludhiana’s Punjab Agricultural University The Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur, has an agricultural college University of Anand Agriculture (Anand)
- A minimum of 60% must have been performed by applicants in the exams for Classes 10 and 12.
- All of the candidates aggregate annual family income cannot be more than rupees 8,00,000.
- The preference will go to applicants with at least one farming parent.
- Exclusively for citizens of India.
- Female students will be given priority.
Financial Benefits
The financial assistance under this scheme will be around 50 thousand rupees which will be given to the eligible candidates at one time.

- Identity verification (Aadhaar, Ration, or voter ID cards).
- Proof of current year entrance (admission letter, fee receipt, institution identity card, or Bonafide certificate).
- Mark sheets for classes 10 and 12.
- Availability of any one of the following documents, if relevant, to vouch for the parent’s occupation: Credit card, The E-Shram card Verification from the employer or a properly documented letter from the relevant government agency.
