The Post Matric Scholarship to Lower Income Group Students Haryana is presented for the people of the Haryana state who are otherwise not able to gain proper educational opportunities. Additional Allowance
The students will get the following additional benefits in this scholarship:-
- Fees – Scholars will be paid enrolments/ registration, tuition, games, union, library, magazine, medical, examination, and such other fees compulsorily payable by the scholar to the Institution or University/Board refundable deposits like caution money, and security deposit will, however, be excluded.
- Study Tours – Study tour charges up to a maximum of INR 100 per year limited to the actual expenditure incurred by the students on train/bus fares, tanga charges, etc. will be paid to the scholars studying the professional course, provided that the Head of the Institution certifies that study tour is essential for the scholars for the completion of the course of study.
- Thesis Typing/Printing Charges – Thesis typing/printing charges up to a maximum of INR 100 will also be paid to the research scholar on the recommendation of the Head of the Institution.
Maintenance Charges
Scholars, who are entitled to free board and free lodging will be paid maintenance charges at the following rates:-

Freeboard | 1/3rd at the hosteller’s rates plus INR 5 per month |
Free lodging | Full at hosteller’s rates minus INR 5 per month |
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this scholarship you will have to follow the simple eligibility criteria given below:-
- The student must be an Indian national
- The student must have passed matriculation or any other equivalent examination or any higher examination of a recognized University or Board of Secondary Education
- The student must have an annual income of less than INR 12,000 or over INR 12,000 but not exceeding INR 2,000 per annum, except in the case of technical degree courses (e.g., Medical, Engineering, Agricultural and Veterinary courses) where the limit will be INR 2,400 per annum

Terms and Conditions
The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions in order to successfully apply for this scholarship:-
- These scholarships will be given for the study of all recognized post-matriculation courses at the following institutions:-
- National Fire Service College, Nagpur
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s course
- Training Ship Dufferin courses of training at the Military College, Dehradun
- Pre-examination training course at the Pre-examination training center at Allahabad and Bangalore preparing students for I.A.D., etc., examinations
- Candidates who after passing one stage of education are studying in the same stage of education in a different subject, e.g. I Sc. Jr. after I A. Jr. or B.Com. after B.A. or M.A. in one subject after M.A. in another subject will not be eligible.
- Candidates who, after having completed their educational career in one Professional line continue professional studies in a different line. e.g. L.L.B after B.T./B.Ed. will not be eligible.
- Students pursuing post-graduate courses in medicine will be eligible if they are not allowed to practice during the period of their courses.
- Candidates who after failing or passing Pre University/Intermediate/B.A./ B.Sc. examination join any post-matriculation Diploma/ Certificate course recognized by the University/Government in any professional course will be awarded scholarships, if otherwise eligible. No subsequent failure will be condoned and no further change in the course will be allowed.
- Candidates who wish to pursue their studies through correspondence courses will not be eligible.
- A scholarship holder under this scheme will not hold any other scholarship/ stipend/ remuneration. If awarded any other scholarship of a higher value, the students can exercise their option for either of the two scholarships, whichever is beneficial to them, and should inform the awarding authority through the Head of the Institution about the option made.
- No scholarship will be paid to the students under this scheme from the date the candidates will accept another scholarship/stipend/remuneration.
