What Is Dhruva Muqabla 2023?

The organization of Dhruva College of Management provides an opportunity to the people who are finding their hidden talents through the development of the all India UG school festival which will be starting from 27th January 2023 for all of the people who are currently in their UG courses in India. The applicants will be eligible to apply for Dhruva Muqabla which will occur by the management and they will be eligible to get a lot of benefits if they are securing first or second place in the competitions held by the organization. Essay Writing (Individual)

The applicant must follow the following guidelines in order to participate in an essay writing competition for individuals:-

  • The topics will give on the spot.
  • Participants must choose any ONE topic from the given options and write an essay that does not exceed 600 words.
  • Each participant must carry the required stationery with them.
  • Before submission, the participant must write their name and the Institution’s name on the TOP RIGHT CORNER of the page.
  • The essay must write in the English language only.
  • The Participant(s) will give 60 minutes to write the essay.
  • The essay will evaluate on: Central idea, Flow of thoughts, Presentation, and Vocabulary.
  • *A4 sheets will be provided by Dhruva College of Management.
  • The use of Mobile phones will lead to disqualification.

Photography (Individual)

The applicant must follow the following guidelines in order to participate in the photography competition for individuals:-

  • The participant(s) must submit TWO pictures:
  • Pic 1: A promotional picture of Dhruva College of Management.
  • Pic 2: Must depict the theme which will disclose on the spot.
  • Pictures in the form of COLLAGES will NOT be accepted.
  • Each participant must carry the required gadget(s) like a camera, phone, etc. with them.
  • Editing tools like Pics art, VN…etc. are permit.
  • Participants may visit www.dhruva.ac.in to know more about the college’s values and beliefs.
  • The picture should contain the imprint “@Dhruva College of Management” at the right bottom corner.
  • Pictures must take in landscape mode.
  • Mandatory:
    • Along with the TWO Pictures, Participants must mail (officialmuqabla@gmail.com) a disclaimer that confirms – “This picture has been captured by……… from……..college and no professional assistance has been taken. Dhruva College of Management is entitled to use this picture for any promotional activity”
    • Non-adherence to the above-mentioned mandatory disclosure will lead to disqualification.
    • Pictures will be evaluated on: Clarity, Creativity, Reflection of the theme, and Adherence to the mandatory disclosures.
    • Winning pictures will be displayed in the Grand Finale Session on Jan 28, 2023, and will grab a spot on Dhruva’s social media handles.

All India Best Undergraduate Student (Individual)

The applicant must follow the following guidelines in order to be eligible for the all-India best UG student individual:-

  • ROUND I- Written Form (MCQs)- (Jan 27, 2023)
    • The participant(s) must appear for MCQ based screening round covering business, politics,
    • sports, economy, and general awareness.
    • Duration of Round I will be 30 mins
    • The results of Round I will declare by 1:00 PM on Jan 27, 2023.
    • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
    • The top 15 participants will qualify for Round II which would be the JAM session.
  • ROUND II- Just A Minute, Post Lunch – (Jan 27, 2023)
    • Each participant will be given a topic on the spot and will expect to speak on the same for a minute.
    • The timer will display for the convenience of the participant(s).
    • The participant(s) will evaluate on Spontaneity, Content, Confidence, Time Management, and Attire.
    • The top 5 participants will appear in Round III – Personal Interview scheduled at 10:00 AM Jan 28, 2023.
  • ROUND III- Personal Interview – (Jan 28, 2023)
    • A panel composed of the Chairman/Dean of Dhruva/Industry expert will interview all the shortlisted candidates to select the Best U.G. student.
    • The participant(s) will evaluate Body Language, Communication, Presentation skills, Spontaneity & Confidence.
    • The interview may last for about 15-20 mins for each student.
    • Reading from Paper/Use Mobile phones will lead to disqualification.

Speech Competition (Individual)

The applicant must follow the following instructions in order to be participating in the speech competition for individuals:-

  • ROUND-I (JAM)
    • The participant(s) must speak for a minute on the topic given on the spot
    • (Participant’s introduction will not include in the ‘One minute’)
    • The language for the JAM session will be English ONLY.
    • It is the screening round and the participant(s) qualifying would appear in round II scheduled on Jan 28, 2023
    • The topics for round II would give on the same day i.e. Jan 27, 2023.
  • FINAL ROUND
    • The final round will occur on Jan 28, 2023
    • The participant(s) may choose a topic from the given list shared a day in advance.
    • The language for the Speech Competition will be English ONLY.
    • Each student must speak for 3.5 min (including the participant’s introduction). The timer will display for the convenience of the participant.
    • The participant(s) will evaluate Content, Voice Modulation, Body Language, Time management, and Confidence.
  • Reading from Paper/Use Mobile phones will lead to disqualification.

IPL Bidding (Group)

The applicant must follow the following guidelines in order to take participation in the IPL within the competition for individuals:-

  • ROUND-I (Screening)
    • Each team must have 3 members from the same college.
    • A Preliminary screening round* will be an MCQ-based pen-paper test on Jan 27, 2023.
    • Questions will be based on past IPL tournaments.
    • Based on their scores, 6 teams will qualify for the final round.
    • The results of Round I will be intimated by lunch.
    • The duration of the round will be 20 minutes.
    • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
    • The top 6 teams will advance to the next round.
  • ROUND-II
    • The Selection must be made keeping in mind the following requisites:
    • From a college, a max. of two teams will be allowed to compete in Round II.
    • Each team will be given Rs. 1 Crore virtual amount.
    • Each team should bid for 11 players only.
    • Each cricket team should consist of
      • 3-4 Batsmen
      • 3-4 Bowlers
      • 2-3 All-Rounder
      • 1 Wicket-Keeper
    • Any team selecting players exceeding the limit will be disqualified.
    • A minimum of 4 foreign players must pick. The team with less than 4 or more 4 foreign players will be disqualified.
  • Any team that exhausts its funds without completing the player’s criterion will be disqualified.
  • The criteria of judgment will share on the day of IPL Bidding itself.
  • From each team, there must be a participant who will be acting as the ‘Spokesperson’ and must be available throughout the event.
  • The student coordinators will inform the participant(s) about a few other ground rules that must follow during the event.

Dance (Solo)

The applicant must follow the following instructions in order to participate in the dancing solo competition:-

    • The Participant(s) must choreograph their dance using a ‘PROP’.
    • Participants must hand over their music pieces in a pen drive before the performance.

    • The dance will be evaluated on: Costumes, Choreography, Props Used, and Time management.
    • Participant(s) that qualify for the Final Round will be informed on Jan 2023 by lunch.
  • ROUND II
    • The qualified participant(s) must perform on the theme “Retro”
    • The performance should not exceed 3 minutes.
    • The participant(s) will be evaluated on: Costume, Choreography, Concept Used, and Time Management

Group Dance

The applicant must follow the following instructions in order to participate in the group dance competition:-

    • Participants can choreograph the dance on a song of any choice.

    • The dance will be evaluated on: Costumes, Choreography, Stage Usage, Theme/Concept, and Time management.
    • Participant(s) that qualify for the Final Round will be informed on Jan 2023 by lunch.
  • ROUND II
    • The qualified participant(s) must perform a popular folk dance representing a state.
    • The performance should not exceed 3 minutes.
    • The participant(s) will be evaluated on: Costumes, Choreography, Stage Usage, Theme/Concept, and Time management.

Singing (Solo)

The applicant must follow the following instructions in order to successfully participate in the singing solo competition:-

    • The songs may be in Telugu, Hindi, or English Languages.
    • Each participant(s) must sign for 2-3mins.
    • Use of Musical Track / Karaoke / Musical instruments is permitted in this round.
    • The timer will be displayed for the convenience of the participant.

Quiz (Team of 2)

The applicant must follow the following instructions in order to participate in the Dhruva Muqabla competition for two people:-

  • ROUND I
    • Preliminary round: The participant(s)must appear in Round I MCQ (pen-paper test).
    • The duration of this test will be 20 minutes, there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
    • The names of both team members must be written on the question paper.
    • Questions may be from business, politics, sports, economy, and general awareness.
    • The results of Round I will be intimated within 15 mins after completion of Round I.
    • The top 10 teams will qualify for Round II.
  • ROUND II – Direct Questions
    • Questions about business, politics, sports, the economy, and general awareness can be asked.
    • Each team will be asked direct questions. Other ground rules will be intimated on the spot.
    • The results of Round II will be intimated by lunch.
    • Top 5 teams will qualify for Round III on Jan 28, 2023.
  • ROUND III – Audio Visuals
    • Questions about business, politics, sports, music, the economy, and general awareness can be asked.
    • Other rules will be informed at the event venue.
    • The use of Mobile phones will lead to disqualification.
    •  The quiz master/management has the authority to disqualify any team in case of any malpractice.

Poster Making (Individual)

The applicant must follow the following instructions in order to participate in the poster-making competition for individuals:-

  • White color chart paper will be provided by Dhruva College of Management.

  • Each participant will be given 60 minutes to complete the poster.
  • Each participant must write their name and the Institution’s name on the TOP RIGHT CORNER of the page.
  • The participant will be evaluated on: Creativity, Concept, Presentation, Detailing,
  • Originality, and Uniqueness.
  •  The use of Mobile phones will lead to disqualification.
Rangoli (Individual)

The applicant must follow the following instructions in order to participate in the rangoli individual competition:-

  • The participant can choose the theme on their own.
  • Each participant must carry the required material like rangoli colors etc., sufficient for a Rangoli-sized 4×4 feet.
  • The participant will be given 60 minutes for the competition.
  • Rangoli will be evaluated based on the central idea, creativity, overall appearance, and appeal.
  •  The use of Mobile phones will lead to disqualification.
Rules And Regulations

The applicant must follow the following rules and regulations in order to successfully apply for this prestigious competition:-

  • All events are open to Undergraduate Students of India; those awaiting their final results are also eligible.
  • A student can participate in a maximum of 2 events.
  • Registration using the ONLINE GOOGLE FORM will close on Jan 24, 2023.
  • For Registration log on to Dhruva.ac.in or click on Google form.
  • Participation in all events is on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration for an event will be closed once the maximum permissible number of participants is reached.
  • Participants must upload their scanned copy of their College ID Card / Latest Fee receipt in the Google Form.
  • It is mandatory for the Participants/students to show the same College ID Card at the entrance gate on Jan 27-28,2023.
  • On Jan 25, 2023 – Event coordinators from Dhruva College of Management will form WhatsApp groups for easy communication. Participants are expected to actively check WhatsApp messages.
  • The candidates must STRICTLY adhere to the rules of participation as mentioned against each event.
  • Decisions made by the panel of judges (Dhruva Faculty, Corporate Experts & Tollywood Luminaries) will be final and binding upon all participants.
  • Dhruva College of Management retains the right to:
    • a) Cancel any event and/or withheld prizes for any event, if it finds that either the event was not suitably represented or the overall level of participation for that event was not up to the mark.
    • b) Declare Consolation Prizes, in certain cases.
  • Results of Muqabla 2023 will be declared during the Grand Finale on Jan 28, 2023.
