The NHPC Limited has created a Sports Scholarship Scheme to provide scholarship opportunities to talented athletes by providing financial assistance. Under this scholarship, financial aid will be provided to the student so that they can continue their education in sports. The applicants will get financial assistance for football, Kabaddi, hockey, boxing etc. All the applicants who have met the eligibility criteria can easily apply under this skin before the last date. About NHPC Sports Scholarship Scheme

NHPC Sports Scholarship Scheme was designed by the NHPC Limited to provide scholarship opportunities to the young athletes of India. Under this scholarship, financial help will be provided to the student to continue the 16 games such as football, Kabaddi, hockey, boxing, archery, athletics, shooting, cricket, swimming wrestling, volleyball bridge, table tennis chess, badminton, Para sports, etc. the candidate who have clear the eligibility criteria can easily apply under this scholarship before 26th March 2025. Objective of Sports Scholarship Scheme

The primary objective of the Sports Scholarship Scheme is to encourage students who are interested in playing sports by providing financial aid and coaching to pursue their careers and sports. With the help of this scholarship, the candidates will be able to achieve excellence in the sport at National and international levels. This scholarship will distribute the financial assistance between the elite scholars and the other scholars on a merit basis. The candidate can easily fill out the application form before 26th March 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of India 
• The age of the applicant should be 14 to 19 years as on 26th March 2025. 
• The student who is born after 26th March 2006 are eligible to apply for such scholarship 
• For Para sports, the age of the applicant should be 14 to 24 years as of 26th March 2025 
• The candidate must not be availing the benefit of any other scholarship 
• The sports scholarship will not have to wear t-shirts and tracksuits with the NHPC logo while playing in tournaments

Duration of Scholarship

• The duration of the Sports Scholarship Scheme shall be 3 years irrespective of the age of the applicant during the scholarship period.
