About KSCSTE Prathibha Scholarship Programme 2023
Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment has created a Student Programme for Excellence in Experimental Design. The authorities are now inviting people to apply for a scholarship program that will be helping students who are currently pursuing studies in the science stream. The students will be liable to get INR 60000 per annum to continue their studies without any problem.

Benefits Of Prathibha Scholarship
The following benefits will be provided to the candidates in this scholarship:-
- For graduation level course/first 3 years of Integrated MSc
- In the first year, students will receive INR 12,000
- For the second year, students will receive INR 18,000
- In the third year, students will receive INR 24,000
- For post-graduation level course
- In the first year, students will receive INR 40,000
- In the second year/fifth year, students will receive INR 60,000
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the scholarship:-
- The candidate should be a native of Kerala and passed his/ her Higher Secondary Examination from Kerala (ICSE/ CBSE/ Kerala State Board)
- Should have an average of 90% or an equivalent cumulative grade in all subjects combined
- Should have an average of 90% or an equivalent cumulative grade in all the science subjects put together
- For SC/ ST the average is relaxed to 80% or an equivalent cumulative grade
- The candidate must have taken admitted to a Bachelor’s or Master’s or Integrated Bachelor’s cum Master’s Degree in Basic and Natural Sciences.
Selection Criteria for Prathibha Scholarship
The applicant will have to go through the following selection criteria to apply for the scholarship:-
- In total, 100 scholarships are awarded each year out of which, 10% are reserved for SC/ST candidates and 50% for girl candidates. The selection of students and the allotment of ranks is done based on aggregate marks secured in the Higher Secondary Board Examination in all Science subjects.
Documents Required
The following documents are requested to be submitted for this scholarship:-
- Student Data Sheet, duly signed by the applicant and endorsed by the Head of the Institution where they are admitted for the Degree Course
- Copy of Mark list of Higher Secondary Board Examination- self-attested
- Community Certificate for SC/ST applicants.
- Certificate in proof of ‘Place of Origin’ [Applicant should be of Kerala origin]
- Duly signed “Terms & Conditions”
- E-payment form- in the prescribed format
Terms and Conditions
The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions to be eligible for the scholarship:-
- The duration of the scholarship will be 3 years.
- Initially, the scholarship is available for only the first year. It can then be renewed in subsequent years if the student maintains an average minimum score of 60%.
- No break is allowed in the course of study and it should be continuous.
- The number of scholarships allocated to students from each Board of Examination will be proportional to the number of eligible applicants from the corresponding Boards.
