The GP Birla Scholarship is awarded to West Bengal state students based on merit. The GP Birla Education Foundation Trust is sponsoring this scholarship to motivate deserving individuals to seek further education. The scholarship is available to students who have passed the Class XII exam with a satisfactory academic record from the WBCHSE or ISC/CBSE board, provided that their family income is less than 3 lakh rupees per year. Selected students will receive ₹ 50,000 annually in addition to an extra ₹ 7,000 to be used towards book purchases.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for applying under this scheme is simple and is given below:-
- Both male and female applicants must reside in West Bengal.
- Candidates must have passed the Class XII exam in 2024 with 85% of the possible points from the WBCHSE or 90% from the ISC/CBSE board.
- Students must come from a household with an annual income of less than 3LPA (three lakh).
- The maximum family income criteria for students with extra merit may be relaxed in certain cases at the discretion of the Trustees.
