What Is Minority Scholarship?
Minority Scholarship has been launched to help children who have completed their class 12th and want to build their careers with higher education. Under this scholarship, monetary help will be provided to the student to continue their higher education without wearing about any financial hurdles. Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must for the following eligibility criteria to apply for the minority scholarship:-
- The student must be going to school/college/university to participate in this scheme.
- The annual income of the parents of that child should not exceed Rs 100000 to Rs 200000.
- He/She must belong to the below poverty line (BPL) category.
- The applicant must be a meritorious student to participate in the minority scholarship scheme.
- The purpose of this scheme is to encourage girl students of minority communities toward education.
- Applicants participating in this scheme are students up to the 10th standard.
- In this, the students studying in government and non-government educational institutions have got more than 50% marks in the last year.
- Those whose father’s annual income does not exceed one lakh, are eligible for Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme.
- Such students can avail of this scheme by receiving applications through the committee.
- The Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is provided for students from class XI to Ph.D.
- Only students who have scored more than 50% in the previous year can get its name.
Minority Scholarship Rewards Details
The following rewards will be provided to the candidates in this minority scholarship:-
- Pre-matric Scholarship

Renewal Process
The candidates can renew their scholarship by following the following renewal procedure:-
- Aspirants need to renew the awarded scholarship every year.
- The students must secure a minimum of 50% marks in the previous year’s examination to renew the scholarship.
- The officials do not release a merit list for renewal cases.
Terms and Conditions
The applicant must follow the following terms and conditions to apply for the scholarship:-
- Aspirants fulfilling the eligibility can only apply for any of the three minority scholarships.
- The students availing of the benefits of this scholarship cannot hold any other scholarship at the same time.
- The officials will transfer the course/tuition fee and maintenance allowance to the bank account of the aspirant.
- The officials will cancel the scholarship, in case of obtaining the same through a false statement.
- The scholarship stands canceled in case the student violates the school discipline or any other terms and conditions of the scholarship.
- The officials will not provide scholarships to more than two students from a family.
- Maintenance allowance will be available for both day scholars and hostellers.
- The continuation of the scholarship will depend on the score of the candidates.
Selection Criteria
The applicant will be selected based on the following selection criteria:-
- The officials will shortlist the aspirants for the scholarship based on their financial status.
- The selection committee will assess the applications of the candidates and shortlist the ones meeting their requirements for each scholarship.
- In case of similar income, the officials will select the older candidate for the scholarship.
- The officials will generate a merit list based on the income of the aspirants to communicate the result of the scholarship.
- On completion of the selection, the candidates will receive the reward as specified for each scholarship
- The officials earmark 30% of the scholarship for girl students of each minority community.
- In case of the non-availability of female students, the officials will transfer the scholarship to the male students in the concerned state or union territory.
- Students residing in a particular state or union territory will be eligible for the scholarship under the quota of that state/UT irrespective of their place of study.

- Enter the otp sent to your previous registered mobile number.
- Enter the details in the application form.

Important Points for Renewal Applicants
- After course completion, you can not apply for renewal.
- Renewal applicants must not fill as fresh, otherwise, it may lead to cancellation of the application.
- While updating mobile numbers, exact match information as the fresh applicant must be provided.
- Mobile numbers once updated will not change again.

- Go to the National Scholarship Portal.

- Click on the Know Your AISHE Code option under the Services option.
- A new form will open on the screen.
- Select the Institution type, State, District and University type.

View Nodal officer Details
- Go to the National Scholarship Portal.
